I looked it up on my bootleg Mitchell. The resistor is on the ground side. Power goes from the fuse straight to the motor. Component locator shows the blower motor to be on the "lower right cowl" but the faded sketch almost looks like it comes from the firewall side. Really shitty illustration. Hope that helps.
Thanks man, I checked my Chiltons this morning. It is where I thought it was, just mounted weirdly. Think I have to remove a duct housing to find the connector for the motor. Odd they ran the resistor on the ground side. I need to ohm out the motor, I'd like to find something disconnect that I can fix and just have it work again, but that might not happen.

Not that weird. Nissan loves to control the ground side.

Fixed the blower motor! Also updated on Ratsun.
Looks better with the 510 snow tire turbines.

For those of you who don't follow both forums, I'm starting to really like this car, even in the shape it is now. It's going to become an autocrosser. Have an eibach prokit in the living room right now as well as a new steering rack. Oh yes, she will move like lightning when I'm done with her!

Didn't get to the steering rack, but got the injectors done. Lots of wheel hop from blown struts in the snow. Think one rear one may still be okay, lol. Anyway made a video, enjoy!

Yes! It DOES sound a lot better. Runs quite well. I'm a little hesitant about the head gasket being it's a 160k motor. Thinking I may get a head stud kit and install it two bolts at a time to see if that will continue to hold what may well be the original gasket. Also worried about beating on it too hard at autocross without doing the engine bearings. Not sure if I'm going to have enough time to do that, so maybe I'll just have to get lucky and if it spins a bearing, then I'll yank it out and do the rings too.
As for tonight, I'm out in the garage replacing the steering rack. Hopefully getting to the front struts tonight, the rears tomorrow.
