the basket is Highland brand from fred meyer, i got it on sale for like $80 and it came in three pieces, (front back middle) so I just left the middle out and connected the front and back with a couple pieces of pipe. it seems to be pretty decent quality.

ok, so sorry im so bad about updating, but everything is finally done now, so here it is.
It all started with Lacaeon and my camping trip this winter break, we were going with a couple friends and we needed a truck, but my L16 wasnt enough to haul a truckload of stuff over the mountain. So we decided to swap in his "L19" and lift the truck back to stock height.
got my roo pouch working for all the snowy roads.
went over to Jakes and lifted it back up, re-indexed the bars up front, and pulled the blocks in the back, (one of the U bolts hit a curb or something at some point, so the end had to be cut off.)
back up to stock height.
Top left - Draynor's LZ tire- Jake's "'L19" & on the hoist- My stock L16
68 valve cover, drool*
here it is out in the Sisters Oregon area.
and heres my motor back in
unfortunately 521s suck, so getting the motor back out took us about an hour and a half, getting it back in was like 3 hours. than we put Jakes motor back in the 510 and it took like 20 minutes. lol oh well at least its done.
also if anyone in the Beaverton/Hillsboro area was trying to buy an oil pan gasket, Im sorry, we bought them all.

im so freaking lazy, i havnt updated in forever. lots of new stuff. After the camping trip the truck came back to corvallis with me. being as that college towns are full of single women, i figured it would be nice to have a car with carpet. I happened to have a half way decent area rug that i got for like $14 at the goodwill just lying around. so i used that, turned out pretty cool!
a couple of weeks ago the alternator died, ironically i found out while i was trying to jump someone's car. So i decided that there isnt much point in replaceing the stock 35A externally regulated unit, since i could grab a 60A internally regulated alt for a 78 200sx, bolts in withought a problem and eliminates the regulator box! just needed to make a couple quick jumpers, tho ill make a propper bypass later with the plug from an old regulator.
OLD
NEW
than like a week later it wouldnt start lol. i was geting power to everything but the motor wouldn't start, Tried the old screw driver on the solenid trick and I got sparks but nothing turned over and the solenoid didnt move. so I got a new one ($34 withought core, including solenoid!!!) and swapped it out, I timed myself at 23 minutes lol I FREAKING LOVE DATSUNS!! so cheap and easy to work on!
starts like a boss now.
Yesterday I went to a local bike shop looking for some random used parts, and they had some old roof racks lying around and said i could have them for free!! turns out the bars were missing some parts so i left them, but I did grab a roof mount bike carier. So now im up to 4 bike mounts on the truck lol.
completely rediculous, i know...
and some pictures just for funsies.
OH! I almost forgot! My channel felt finally got here from Thailand!
plus the dude put this little guy in the box lol.
