Does your front bumper not have the shocks mounted to it?
The B310 does. Those you can drill/drain the fluid out and push them in to flush up against the front grill.
Thing looks great though. Really coming along on this one.

Thanks guys, I’m really happy I was able to get these for a great price. I have a few more non u.s. market upgrades in the future too.
The stock front bumper does have the shock things, but I have a Japanese front ready to go on the front. It hits the u.s. mount location that’s left after you take the shock out. I’m probably going to drill the spot welds or maybe just cut what I need to for the brackets to clear

Rehabbing the heater box in my wagon was one of the best things I did. Went from no heat, to lots of heat.

The heat is way better, but turns out I’m not done... there’s a leak and I think it’s the heater core.

Turns out the leak I have is from the heater valve I re did. The shaft is worn too much so it’s spraying out from there. Only one I can find for sale anywhere online is $100... expensive for what it is. I’m going to hit up a couple different guys I know, but I don’t expect to find a valve anywhere.
But onto progress. Yesterday I went to picknpull for parts for one of my other beaters. I ran out of time looking for a rear hatch seal that will work and grabbed one off an Aerostar. It’s too thick, but for now my hatch is finally sealed. I’ll get something better later.
Then I installed new window crank handles made for a vw bug. The other ones I was using were too cheap and kept breaking. These look decent and are really strong

Are you talking about the heater valve that blocks coolant to the core? Is it rebuildable like the other Datsuns?

It’s kinda rebuildable, but not in the easy way. I already pulled it apart and rebuilt the simple way. Not it needs some creative addition of a recess cut for a boring around the rod. I have a slightly more ratty way of dealing with it till I get something that’s going to work. Hose straight into the heater core and a clamp I can adjust the flow by squeezing the line haha

This is what I built today, not bad for a day. Hopefully going to get a calm day soon so I can try it out. I have an airplane obsessed family, so we all have these haha

Have you flown RC planes before/a lot?
I learned to fly RC sailplanes, then I progressed to gas planes, I wrecked them so often I started making them from scratch, my funnest ones were very ugly from being wrecked so often but they flew great and I could fix them where I flew them.
I made this wing for my friend.
I still have this one to this day, this one I flew upside down or was doing stunts 95 percent of the flight, I was known as the guy that flew upside down.
I made this one to confuse people, it didn't fly as good as it weighed too much.
I made this out of a political sign.

Damn, you got pretty into it. The gas powered ones look like allot of fun. That glider looks insane haha did it climb the currents pretty well?
This is only the second I’ve built. The first was when I was 15 and I’d do nothing but wreck it and fix it and try again haha
I also have another in progress from some internet plans, but it’s been that way for a year. Hopefully with this one I can get the hang of it before I build a big gas one

The wings actually fluttered a little if it was flown to fast, it was over a 14 foot wing span.
I found it is easier to learn with a beginner sail plane, I just went to a foot ball field and threw it by hand and flew it in a straight line till it landed, then I would walk to it turn around and throw it back the other way, I began to turn it and land it going that way, eventually I learned to turn it around and land it near me, then my friends would throw it off the mountain where we flew hanggliders, I would fly it back and forth in front of the hill, then they would land it back on top of the hill for me, but I learned how to do that also, in the end I flew so crazy all the time that I got to be better at flying RCs than they were, I built and flew my own designs after the first year of flying as I was wrecking them so much doing crazy stuff that it was faster for me to make a fuselage to fit the wing that was easy to re-build.
Every gas plane I posted a photo of was wrecked several times and rebuilt, or till it was not re-build-able anymore, I still have the yellow stunt plane, the twin, and the purple one.
My flying style was to fly near myself, less than a 100 feet away with my stunt planes, it bothered a lot of the flyers at the field at first and they just watched me and stood back, when I finished they flew, at the end they didn't even pay attention to me anymore as when I did wreck them at the field it wasn't anywhere near them although I lost control a couple times but they didn't know it.
I have taught a few guys how to fly also, you need a beginner plane learn how to fly, otherwise you will just keep wrecking them.
I actually made one plane that flew walking speed, it would do a loop in it's own wingspan(less than 5 foot round loops), but it was so big it was a hassle to haul around, I flew it once at the field and after I landed it I had everyone there come over and look at it, they could not believe something that big could fly so slow, it is a very strange looking plane, the ailerons are not connected to the trailing edge of the wing, they are a couple inches below the wing, I still have it, but have no photos of it.

Ive flown a few. Foamies are the best though. Made from sheet foam, like 1/8th, with flat carbon inserted for rigidity. Micro servos, and a little electric engine. Things scoot, but also can be super slow. Easy to manage in a backyard, so you can fly it whenever. And if it crashes, its made of super cheap foam, rebuild and go again.

Well that was fun... I thought my water pump was leaking. Turns out it was the pass through the timing cover. Got the gaskets in the mail yesterday and started on it at 12am after I got home. Everything went smoothly... but it started snowing around 2:30 and I quit by 3:30. Ended up getting up and hour early for work and finished it up so I could get to work. Working on the side of the road in the dark is hell lol
