Nylocks suck. All about crush nuts.
No need to remove the wheel.

A boltless solution...
From a mustang site.
Might not clamp down far enough though.
Ebay...

I prefer the bolt method, as you stated, it probably has more tension. Tension stops the leafs from sliding between each other. Thus stopping axle wrap.

I forgot who.
But a guy was telling me about drilling thru the spring to do that.
And only using one bolt on each side of the spring.
I am interested in other thoughts.
How feasible is that?

I don't think you'd want to do both sides of the spring, if you mean to the front and the rear of the axle. Kind of takes the spring out of the spring. The way it was explained to me was to was that you wrap/clamp the front to essentially make them solid(ish), like a trailing arm. Old hot rodder trick.

Drilling leaf spring sucks. Also like driven said, you only want to do the front or rear, and each has its strengths. For our applications, keep the clamp in front of the axle.

OOOO nice!
You may want to order a few bushings while you are down there...
LCA/Swaybar/TC rod bushings. Luckily those are all cheap.

Yeah, gonna order the sway bar ones for this 1" bar I have. But I might be getting some adjustable LCA's and T/C rods...So might not order those bushings just yet.

Finally picked up the BMW seats from my friend
The color is close to the 510 stock red, but not perfect. I am thinking I might try and find the red vinyl paint for the BMW seats and paint the panels and such to match, since they are very faded anyway.
Also found 1 center cap at "H5WAGONS's" house, fits perfect! Anyone know what it's from? Looking for 3 more or a set!
