Eh I can always paint it green later if I want. But for now it's gonna be black. I'm almost ready for paint tho, I picked up some glazing and finished the last bit if filler. Now I just have to sand and prime then sand again haha

Well today I got a bunch done on my truck. In the morning I sprayed the bottom of the hood, then I got to work puttin my new front wheel bearings on. Then after that was all buttoned up I took my old hood off so I could paint the hinges. Prepped and primered them. Then I flipped the hood over and sprayed the top of the hood, the wiper cowel, and the hinges it black. This paint takes awhile to dry so I'll be rockin no hood till Sunday.

New bearings!

Looking good man. Surprised your hinges weren't all dicked up and rusted to hell/cancerous.

you missing a headlight trim ring? or is it not there on purpose?

Thanks dude, it's takin me forever but I guess it takes time to do stuff right. Haha the trim ring was epoxied on and fell off... I'll put it back on later lol. Actually they were a bit rusty but I sanded them down to some nice clean metal before primer.

Got my new hood on! It still needs a little adjustment but I'm gonna wait till it hardens for a few days. Huge improvement tho!

So I decided to update finally haha. I welded up all the mirror and trim holes in my new doors, then I used rust converter on the surface rust on then inside of the doors and washed them out. After that I coated the inside of the doors with sealer primer and sealed all the seams with seam sealer. I also did all the body work and prepped them for primer. I had allot of pictures but i had to get a new phone so they were lost. I took a break from the doors today and installed a new oil pan to replace my old holy one. Then I repainted and fitted a sway bar from an early 620 on the front end. 79's didn't come with sway bars unless they were setup as campers so it took some trial and error to get it right. I ended up getting the longest sway bar end links I could find so the sway bar would clear the tie rods. Haven't given it a test drive yet but it should be interesting haha

Finally took it for a nice test drive on country roads today and I gotta say.... Freaking awesome! Between all the suspension stuff I replaced and the new sway bar this think is tight and flat in the corners. Oh lol also forgot when I last updated I also replaced all my tierods and got another alignment. Now to get the doors in primer

Soo worth it

Awesome work on the swaybar. Your truck looks 10x better in person; these pics do it no justice. Keep it up!

Yay!

Knowing your driveway, maybe you should flip the direction of the endlink bolt...

Thanks guys, hopefully I can get this thing finished soon so I can find another project haha

Yea the bolts should probably be flipped. They have 6 inches from the ground... Lol they are higher than my u bolts tho. Gotta get some 720 4x4 leafs so I can ditch the blocks
