The '80-'83sx were S110s and all had Z series motors.

You got a B-210? or a 210??? An L20B will make it jump.
My Datsuns, like good friends, have never let me down. At least in any way that was not understandable and thus fixable.

Damn you for asking. We all know what I am getting-I have just been keeping it hush till the deal is final.
But this could be good to get the parts hunt/information trail rolling.

1979 210. So the only thing that will work will be an L oil pan then. ARGH!!!
And I will be going with an L18 for the time being.
L18. W53. SUs.

No transmission as of yet. No driveline till trans is figured out. No rear gear.
I have the cross member, LCAs, sway bar from the A10. L mounts from the L18 that I think will work.
Motor with head and carbs are sitting on the engine stand.

Time frame is getting close to go pick this thing up.
I got hit with a huge set back today. Trying to work my way past that though.
All should be well. :crossed fingers:

We didn't all know. Sounds like it'll be a cool project.

Well you were throwing lots of hints... (something)ten, A10 crossmenber will fit, need L MMs. 210s are a sweet little car just like it's grandfather the 1200 but easier to find, sort of. L power will add up to 20 hp but even better the kick in the ass torque from displacement. Lots of L goodies too.

The L18 mounts will not bolt to the Z rubbers.

The Z rubber have like a little metal channel that the Z metal mount fits in to.
The L18 mounts I have are bigger than the channel.

I'm thinking that I will just have to get urethane mounts or some custom hockey pucks.

Way to stiff. It will vibrate so bad that at idle the speedo will be a white blur between zero and 20MPH. The cigarette lighter will keep falling out.

Maybe I can grind the L mounts down to fit into the Z rubbers.

I would like something stiffer, nohomo, than original rubber though.

The next worry will be the trans mounting.

KA'd 210. Mmmmm...

I just want to get the car over here and put in work. KA or not.
This car will be a little ripper.

And one that I might actually be able to locate parts for.

What you need to do is find one of these 300 dollar complet motors/trans/ecu deals ive seen popping up all year.
Then l series being cheaper arguement is invalid?
