That's ugly, likely didn't run very well.

Re: 521 owner here
just want to say if your looking for 521 doors, make sure their for a 521 and not for a 520. They look the same so check the latch in the door jam, the 520 is in a different location.

Re: 521 owner here
Not really looking for doors just seen that they were 521 doors and wanted to maybe buy them if they were in alright shape.
I thought the hinges were different but I wasn't sure.
What about the bed?

the beds are the same.
their is something else that makes the doors different but can't think what it is right now.

Re: 521 owner here
Looks like it got hot. Really hot.
I think I know who you're talking about with the AWD 510. He used to own one of the 1200s that Banner's brother has. Had a red L320 too. He was an early Ratsun guy I can't remember his name though -- something to do with B2k. Haven't seen much of him in a few years.

Re: 521 owner here
I told Kevin it looked like burnt oil all over the motor.
Cyl # and #4 pins were a bitch to move back and forth.
On with the 2.3 build!

Re: 521 owner here
Thing he said his name was Chase. But yeah he shows me some photos of a 320nl he has and a few other cars like the 1200, I wanted to ask about banner but didn't. I told him we didn't care if he was making pprogress on the build just that it isn't forgotten... So I hope he get back on his dattos.
Tomorrow if I don't have to work I'll take the crank out and get the block hot tanked and cleaned.
Then maybe off to talk to a shop to do the 2mm bore to the block.
Ill start to get parts together after the bore and pistons are pressed on the z22 rods.

Re: 521 owner here
thinkin when i ran it outta oil it wiped out the rings on that cylinder and caused the damage to the cylinder wall, it woulda made noise if it was a pre existing problem, never made noise until i ran it outta oil

Are you kidding me? That thing was covered.
That thing was burning up oil too. As fast as it was spilling it.

Oh it was burning. The head, rings, exhaust manifold were all caked with burnt oil.
Oh well. She will breathe again.
