You might be needing another distributor. Did you buy used or new?

Driven,

Beck Arnley, reman. Saw other people get the same code after replacing. I want to check the timing belt to make sure its good and not cracked / stretched.

Code nine is 9 No. 1 cylinder position. Before with the old dizzy it was throwing a code 8, unable to find TDC. Only way to fix that is replace the dizzy. So did that, and got the 9. Seems quite a few people do it, think I should ask rockauto for another?

Draker,

Thanks man! Wheels and tires / steering wheel makes a difference. I cleaned the interior right after that steering wheel picture.

Next up, I am going to throw my truck on the alignment rack at work and align it. Then its paint time!

Maybe. Seems odd that you didn't have the code before but do now if that's all you replaced. Might swap the old one back in and see what happens. If code 9 goes away, pretty easy to blame the reman replacement.

New distributor installed, no more codes so far! Also, there are a few spade connectors on the fuse panel with nothing connected to them. just a square with a spade connector. So I found one that had power, added a 30 amp fuse to it, and ran it to the radiator fan. Fan comes on now with the key. Should help in the warmer weather. IDK why the fan doesn't come on otherwise, I do know the temp sensor should be replaced as it only works sometimes. Maybe that has something to do with it, but even when it works it doesn't kick the fan on. Ah well, works now. It had a strange noise which disappeared too after installing new dizzy and wiring in the fan. I don't think it was the fan, but maybe the fan housing was squeaking. Oil seals for the CV axles coming up next, then tie rods and an alignment. should be all set after that. The AC system works, however I don't have a hose connected as it needs recharged. But I don't want to pay for the conversion as IDK how long I will keep the car. I'd rather her drive a nissan.

I don't think I'm going to polish the wheels, I cleaned them with aluminum etching shits. I think I like the dull look with the flat black paint its getting. Lot of work scuffing, wiping, using paint prep cleaning shit to get all the contaminants off, then painting. Slowly but surely, it's getting there. I will be cleaning the paint off the emblems when I'm done.

That's looking good. Better than just about every other rattle can job I've seen. Will look tits when it's done with those wheels.

Thanks man!

Trying to take my time and make it look as good as possible. I scuffing the fuck out of the truck, but there will be spots that look bad from chipped paint etc. Unless I decide to sand it smooth, which I wont.

Gonna finish the rattle canning tomorrow hopefully. Then clean off the emblems. the dull aluminum will look good with the black paint job. I also tinted my tail lights tonight :D

Moar pics and shits tomorrow.

Thanks! I just wanted it one color. It looks ok. Not as good as I was hoping. I may end up taking the primer off lol. Then hit it with epoxy primer. Then a high build primer and sanding it down. Hard to see in the pics but where the original paint has flaked off uou can see it thru the primer. It'll have to work for now tho. Thursday night I have to head to Salem and pick up my new rear axle and front member. 4.38 I believe which will be sweet. Once I get that done I can move up to 31s without losing any power really. Bit better for trails. Idk tho I have 235 75 15 wild country light terrains and like them. I'll see how I do mpg wise with these then maybe go to 31. Idk yet

Well. Pretty sure the 720 is dead. The shit just keeps on rolling in. I have no parts. No way to get parts. No way to get to work.

I need a running driving vehicle :/

Crisis averted. Woooh. Thought the head was warped. Fucking thermostat was stuck closed as all he'll. Couldn't even press it open with a screw driver.
