Sure will. I figure another 3 months. Met with my builder today and asked how his is going. He's thinking he'll be in mid-April. His house is about a month ahead of mine. I can live with that timeline.

Thanks, man. Progress should be less dramatic from here on out.

Are you going to have some kind of wall between the house and the hill or is it going to be the way it is now?
Is there going to be more cement poured for a driveway, and what are you going to have for access to the front door, a cement sidewalk, stone walkway, gravel?
Now you are basically safe from the rain, it should be dry inside from now on unless there is sideways rain.
What kind of roof did you decided to go with?

I'm going to be doing a retaining wall above the house. There's going to be a standard apron/driveway in front of the garage. From there to the front door will be a sidewalk, likely stamped concrete. Roof will just be standard asphalt shingles. I considered a standing seam tin roof but really didn't see a long term benefit.

Metal roofs can be noisy when it rains, and you can walk on a composition roof when it is wet without living in fear of falling off.
I would pick comp 99.9 percent of the time, but I would pick hurricane type wind resistant comp as it has more sticky tar holding them together, that is what I put on my roof when I did it, remember me talking about laying a piece to the side for a few minutes while I did something else and when I went to pick it up it was so stuck to the roofing I laid it on I thought it was going to ruin the roofing below it getting it off, I laid them on the roof upside down after that if I had to lay them down to do something else, putting X-mas lights on my roof became a bitch as them shingles are stuck together as the clips are supposed to slide under one of the layers and under the ridge line, I have no regrets with making that decision, I picked the best roof and it was not the most expensive, it was in the middle.
I have seen so many crap roofs over the years, 30 year crap that don't last even 15 years, how they got away with selling that crap is baffling to me.

I thought I got a pic of the neighbor to the north but didn't. A HUGE bull on the hill this morning. That field is usually empty with a couple dozen cows on occasion.

Nice to have room in the breaker box for extras.

Agreed. There's almost no electrical done in the basement yet so I'll need room in the panel for that.
Made the door order yesterday. The weather seal crew has been through. Siding guys have been slacking though. It's been pretty windy the last few days so I'm sure that's the official excuse. HVAC guys should be back out next week to relocate a couple things. Framers should be back soon as well to finish the deck and do a couple small things. Plumbers and electricians are done. Waiting on an inspection then insulation and sheetrock crews are next.
Comparasin of 8:30am yesterday vs. 8:30am today.
And brown dog. Not in trouble, just always looks that way.
