You can... However they would be considered custom plates.. and you'd have to pay the custom plate fee at every registration. Unless.. you bought the car had the title in your name, then did the plate transfer. That might be an option also. If the plates however are considered 'dead', you have to pay the fee every 2 years.
I checked into it on a pair of 'dead' plates.

The DMV let me do that back when I had my 240Z. Treated them like vanity plates though. Extra fees every time I renewed the tags.

Surcharge Supports: Oregon State Capitol Foundation and the Oregon Historical Society.
Available For: Regular Passenger Vehicles only, no custom plate option. Limited edition so only 40,000 sets available.

Yes, but yellow on blue is more period correct. But either one is better than the tree. More fee's are lame..
I don't mind the bike plates... I just don't like bikers. I'd share the road, IF YOU WOULD STOP FLYING THROUGH RED LIGHTS AND STOP SIGNS.

Its clear you have never been a serious bike rider... Go bike for a few months with it being your primary mode of transportation. You will learn the flipside of the rules.

Then please dont complain. There are plenty of things cars do that are against the rules to bikers. I almost got hit by a car a couple of times, stupid people turning right through a bike lane into a parking lot, right after they passed me, Im going 22mph in a 25, Im still in your blindspot...In reality its actually give and take. The thing about rolling through a stop sign... well the car stopped... so its safe to go. That said I never have darted in front of a moving car... thats retarded. Rolling through a Redlight... thats just suicide.
But Alas, you live in one of 3 bike towns in Oregon, and thats just how things will always be there. (all 3 cities have large college campus').
