Got the old piston rings taken off, the wrist pins removed then reinstalled and lubed
Before and after cleaning and lube
Cleaned up the dizzy
Cleaned up the oil filter extender thing....
Then it was onto one of my favorite parts of a motor build!
Paint!
High heat primer
And then black!!!! Ended up going with a gloss black to match the black powder coat that's going on the oil pan
Yummy!

Just read through your build thread Adam, and it so reminds me of when I was wrench'n on my first 510s. Good Times! Only difference is, looks like you're actually doing shit right the first time. I wasn't that smart.
I'm looking forward to watching this truck come together. Should be a kick ass hauler.

I've regretted some of my engine paint color choices over the years. But never regretted black. Great at hiding road grime and those little oil seeps that show up over time. Looks good. Keep going.

Thanx, I always seem to take things to far... But I regret them less than when I don't go far enough....

That was the idea this time around.... I need an easy to clean block for taking it to shows and get togethers.

Seeing the old green block compared to the gloss black... Gotta say great choice. Chrome black and green... Epic winning
