I can't do things like that...

I'm not even sure when I'll be able to go again, I work tell 6 and they close at 5.

Yesterday when I took my heater core to the shop to get it fixed dude said he'd most lilkly fix it by the end of the day, I said if he could that would be great. He then said I'll get it done. I left after giving him my name and number...

Today at work I waited for him to call me.. No call..

And they also close at 5. Next day off?? Idk

Heat sure is a nice luxury man. I love my heater. I took it for granted till I drove for 3 years without one. Fuck that noise.

Soo I'll get my my truck back on her feet..

I also slapped in a ka oil pump I had. I'll be taking it back out for the Lz

With that said.....

No block.. But I stopped by and he said, " looks like I'll be able to get on your block this afternoon"..

I'm waiting on the ka rods as well.. As I don't need them I found someone who did.

My heater worked damn good.

I had it fixed before, guess that part didn't leak then.

Yeah I'm headed to Olympia in about 5 months and I don't want to be freezing my nuts off as im driving down the road. With me moving and building this motor I haven't much time to get my 4 wheel dice brake swap done. That's one thing I really want done before I move
I've got the brackets from bee, just need rotors and Izuzu calipers... Also run new hard lines....
And new master.
In time.

That's a lot to get done. Sounds like heater is really the only priority with the truck right now. Tho in 5 months you will have the window down while you're driving. It gets a little warm. But not as warm as what you're used to.

Had a bit of a challenge with the heater hoses but I got them to work..

Does it matter what way the water flows, I assume it doesn't.
I put the hoses back were they were, top heater hose goes to front and the bottom goes to the head.. It seems it would be easier the other way around. Is that OK to do?

I have a small leak in the core still. Its right where you trun the knob on the heater.. Its not bad just another thing I'll need to take care of.

The o-ring must be bad on the heater core valve, dat521gatherer did a how to on how to remove the valve assembly on Ratsun somewhere.
Try releasing the pressure in the radiator system, maybe it will quit leaking.

I'll be sure to fix it after I pull the l20b.

mine leaked too. I just removed the valve all together. Mine has fresh air or recirc... Fresh air it will blow warm air in the truck, recirc it wont. Not like the fan does any good in the summer time when its hot anyways, no point in having an on/off valve for the heater core

Pacific winters are nothing like how winter is here though.

There, freezing is a fluke.
When it's 50* outside you start seeing folks in T-shirts and shorts.

HAHAHA. so fuckin true man. Its hot a couple days of the year... But there's always a slight cool breeze that hits you when you need it most... and it cools down at night. Perfect setting, every day, for 5-6 months... to set on the porch drinking a beer after a long day of wrenching, riding, or being lazy even lol
