Sound goes away if I step on clutch or speed up. I can hear it right below my knees.
It sounds like 2 silver quarters are bouncing around.
Or, a Snap-On wrench hitting the ground and bouncing.

That sounds like the exhaust hitting something, that makes a sound like you described, a wrench hitting the ground/cement.

The noises I described earlier...not external. There is something inside. Convinced.

Ting on takeoff is most likely drive line u-joints.
Try while going down the road slowly, no gas, while in second, popping the clutch on and off. If it tings right at load engage/disengage its u joints.
Throwout bearings usually howl.

I'll give that a shot. Your description kind of matches mine.
Oddly though, not a rotational noise.
U-joints being added to the list.

Not yet. Still just driving it.
I'm guessing g a loose wire or something on the cluster.
Car only reads hot when the lights are on.
Truck runs great. Does anything I ask of it. Meh.

Yeah I read that the "overheating" was probably the gauge. I was talking about the clanking "2 quarters " sounds.

Ah. Convinced it's in the bell housing. It comes and goes.
I will hopefully be pulling the motor soon.
Just had a few big bills fall in my lap which is fucking with my project schedule.

Bummer about the bills
Hopefully its not flywheel bolts loose or pressure plate... Maybe even ring gear? Lame sauce boss! There is a resistor thing behind the dash for the fuel/temp shits... Sometimes that gets fucked up... Also there is a ground or something for the same setup... Maybe it just needs cleaned well.

Didn't I give you a set of caps for said bumper?
Bumper is hanging on my wall. One bracket is bent really bad. Have not gotten around to sending it straight.
I actually kind of like the lack of bumper. Looks dangerous.
Installation will proceed when my bumperettes arrive.

Pic was taken at Kevin's work.
He moved back here a couple of days ago and we were meeting up to go have dinner together.
I leave Friday morning for Portland in the 521. Blue Lake, here I come.
Me and the family will be in town all weekend. Leaving Monday.
