Came across Hwy 202 on my ride yesterday. Was that you coming down Marine Dr and turning left to go up the hill around 2:15-2:30? If it wasn't, there was another butterscotch B210 in town.

Supposed to be today. (Sunday).
Wheels are last priority right now. I like them on this truck. I may let them go at some point or be interested in a trade.
Justin. You sold them to the guy that owns the truck now or the guy before him?

Got some work cut out for me
Lol.... The fucking hack job. Jesus.
I need to quit looking at shit, cuz it just keeps getting worse. I'm not gonna blast the previous owner, he just bought it and then after a year let it go. The guy before it bought it with the L series in it, and just rebuilt it.... The guy before him? Jesus who knows.... But it came with a tote and a box full of parts. Brand new Nissan parts, some aftermarket parts. It's been wrecked, and fucking hard. passenger inner fender and core support are shite. Oh well, straighten that out later. The wiring is kinda iffy under the hood. Nobody re connected the grounds in the wiring harness. negative cable goes from battery to engine, nothing to body. Tachometer resistor is missing. I removed the driveline because it's stuck in third gear. Fired it up.. Took a little bit to get it running as its sat a few years. Gas is probably gross by now. But I think it's flooding itself. Ran like ass at an idle, ok wide open, kinda shitty in between to. Shut her off, got under the hood and listened... I could hear what sounded like little short bursts of fast bubbles. Popped the air cleaner off and saw the carb was pooling up gas in one of the barrels. Yay! The electronic fuel pump is still connected. IDK if it's working or not, but it's connected, the L series manual is connected, and the carb is flooding itself. But, the engine is sitting at the wrong angle. Maybe thats the problem. I won't know till I get it to sit right. The fuel return line is hooked up, so it shouldn't be flooding itself really that way. Oh well..
Pics and progress tomorrow.

With it at an angle the float might not be working correctly.

Kinda thinking this too wayno. It was pooling up in the one barrel. soon as i opened the throttle by hand all the way it quit doing it. almost as if it let the excess all the way out or pressure to release or something. I'll investigate more later.

Truck has a slight miss, i think the dizzy spindle is a tooth off. its around 40 or so degrees btdc and the dizzy is fully tarded.... So gotta drop the pump.
But, she runs and drives..... In other news, I drove the blue b today for the first time. It was only a foot forwards and backwards, as I need a correct slave rod instead of the janky setup i used to just test it, and the exhaust welded up.

See above post and then read this.
Forgot to mention, I was able to talk to the guy who built this motor. Honed, new rings and main / rod bearings. Crank was redone. Head was machined. Crank redone / polished. New valves and seats. New chain and tensioner. It's 100% new. All gaskets if course. New clutch. The engine has 1000 miles on it then the Trans shat out. It now has a rebuilt trans with 0 miles. The drive train is all brand new. Just need to fix the dizzy spindle being a tooth off. I have a few oil pump gaskets luckily.

The 720 is probably one of my least favorite body style of Datsun/Nissan trucks but that mother is looking right. The clear lights with the white is muy bueno.
Really making me reconsider getting one from a coworker.

You should. They really are good trucks man. There is still an aftermarket support for these. You can swap the front brakes to hardbody brakes... Belltech makes drop spindles for them. The z24 is more prone to head gasket failure. But there are ways around that. you can also run a victor reignz head gasket... And drive it for another 100k. The z22 is a really good motor. I'd rather have a z22 than 24, not much power difference. But good motors really. Decent torque. As long as you don't want to get anywhere fast. It will get you there reliably. And haul a bunch of shit! Plus king cabs have jump seats, and ample room in the cab/behind the seats. Big fan of the 720s....
