Picked up a visible fuel filter and an msd blaster2 today. From what I read with the blaster I could open my plug gap wider for more spark and fuel burn. I need to research a bit more to know what would be a good gap to run.

Haha turns out the spark plugs that were in there were two different heats and two different brands, the rusty spark plug wires weren't doing me any favors either. So new ngk platnums, ngk wires, cap and rotor. I'm actually amazed at the difference it made, sounds like a whole new motor. I also went with a .44 gap for more spark with the blaster. New gm hei on the way as well.
In other news I'm working on getting another cam for an aggressive grind and all that goes with it. Picked up an h85 closed chamber with oval ports to go along with everything. Hopefully going to be able to make some good compression

That reminds me of the time I did the spark plugs on my sisters van. The 3 front were a different brand than the 3 rear, someone got lazy and didnt change the rear ones when they did the front.

I have found Toyota does that at the factory a lot.

Last gen Tacoma-NGKs on one side, Denso on the other.
Lots of Camry, Avalon, Rav, Highlander I'm finding to be the same way.

Haha yea I think my old 620 had the same thing, but this runs way better than my 620 did for awhile before I fixed everything. Haha yea dude my old Mazda had half the plugs looked way older. It's kinda part of the adventure of starting a project. I'm currently wading through hours of reading to learn about cams and spring and spring bind and everything I never realized I didn't know anything about. So I am now slowly starting to get stuff together for a cam that will do this motor justice. I am really excited because I picked up an h85 oval port closed chamber. I have allot in store, hopefully I can afford to do it over a month or two. I'm hopefully sending out a cam to be ground next in a couple weeks.

Haha Yea for was away from datsuns for a bit, so I have extra motivation this time. I really love the 1200s too, I really just want to see what an a14 can do with a few parts and some time

The windshield whispers stopped in the rain today. Good thing new Nissan universal whipper arm clips fit with only a little modification

wiper, not whipper...

And good thing they do work. I think for some of these models the linkage bits are getting hard to find. I should go through my 510 and start remaking all the plastic bits.

Haha I tried whiper first...

Yea I got lucky, I remembered my dad did his on his frontier and they looked similar. I just had to shave a couple tabs off and they fit perfectly. Cosmetic parts are hard to find tho haha

Not allot of updates from the weekend. But Mike brought me a good ignition and a spare stock cam. Hopefully the cam will be getting sent out for a more aggressive grind in the next couple weeks. Then I have to gather the rest of the parts I need lol

Well I dropped the cam off to send to delta cams for a performance grind. I decided to go with the delta d9 profile, Mike currier recumended it and from my reading it sounds like a good one. Hopefully it will be back soon, but I still have a ways to go before it's going in

Today I added a gauge pod to the top of my dash, nice carbon fiber and sunpro gauges. My coolant temp quit working and a new sender didn't fix it. So I decided to upgrade a little. I also have a sun blue line tach to match when I figure out where I want it. I also installed shifter bushings to take some of the slop out. Hopefully getting the cam back in the next couple days as well.

That car is begging for a GX steering wheel.
