Sweet glad you were able to get the doglegs Kenny.

Has the latch gone past the springy part?
Try holding the handle up and rotating the latch back, sounds like the latch is in lock position

check the latches on the door. the part that rotates needs to have a rubber boot on it. my passenger door lost it and it wouldnt double latch.

Also might need to remove the door panel and make sure all the rods are returning properly.

I actually had this issue one night, it was super cold. Drivers door would not latch at all. After about 5 minutes of constant slamming, it stuck. Has been fine since...

Back from the shop!

Before

And Then

Then rest I'll do myself, I have to fill the holes where the trim pieces were, finish sanding the rest of the rust, and get this baby into paint.

I have been thinking of just doing an Orange primer sealer (for now). I saw it on a orange pickup at a show once and I liked it.

Oh, I did have one more thing done to it.

Thanks Mang!!

She's not afraid to take a corner now that she's lower in the rear. The geometry was way off.

Previous owner installed a rear sway bar from an MG, and the muffler is rubbing on that a little, but easy fix.

Get her down to bare metal and epoxy primer... Won't draw moisture and seal that baby up. No rust!

orange primer isn't to bad. Check out my old whip.. It was dubbed Creamsicle. White chased with orange.

Update! I'm Lagging big-time, busy Time of year! Sorry

Izzo, I remember that truck  If you Didn't know I have lurked over there (Ratsun) since the beginning. I Have been trying to get into the Datsun game for a while. I guess I should do a thread over there too.

Bonvo, Thanks

So update. I shoot the shit with all the car guys around here, and I kept hearing good words about this one shop. I dropped by a while ago for an estimate, the owner said if I was patient, it was there slow time of year, they would work on it in their downtime. He quoted me a price that I could not refuse.

They are going to do a two-stage paint with clear, Doorjams, and repair the rear quarter with metal, so no fiberglass at all

I dropped Buttercups off on Monday so hopefully she will be back soon.

FYI if I don't hire out some of this it's never going to get done, too busy right now and getting busier with holidays coming. I want this g00n done so I can play!

went through your thread and didn't read anything about the rear lowering blocks. Did you have a set of blocks / U bolts from a previous project or ?????

No I had the welding shop make me a set. He has made sets for all kinds of cars. I hate I hate working under cars! He had a lift their, and he was reasonable. Hopefully she will be back from the paint shop soon.

sorry but got a few more questions.
Can you get measurements of the blocks when the wagon get back home.
also, did the floor get cut so the drive line didn't hit the hump?

Sure they have 5 degrees of angle.not sure about exact measure, can measure when it gets back. I have not cut the trans tunnel yet, I am being very careful until I can get to that.

I'm about ready to start on my 68 wagon (next year )and trying to get idea's on which direction the wagon will go.

I've read if bump stops are not to be used that the car will over steer. just saying.
