I have done nothing to my car in a very long time. I feel horrible about it. Been dealing with a lot of shit, family and personal. Don't let the lack of my updates make you think I don't care anymore...I love the fuck out of my baby B.

Been trying to save money for parts but it keeps going to bills...dammit Bill ! Anyways, excuses and assholes etc.

You could diagnose it.

Did you have spark?

Disconnect fuel line after pump/before carb. Crank. Dobyou have fuel?

What happened to make you think fuel pump is bad?

Walt's going to diagnose it this weekend for me. I'm headed to Seattle tomorrow to help my grandpa.

So it runs fine while idling, it's when I step on the gas it starts chugging? Sputtering? I don't know how to explain it in text. I thought it was spark but like I said it idles fine.

I'll update after Walt let's me know.

We discussed this on Facebook a bit. I gave her some things to look at to diagnose if it's fuel.

Pretty sure I have a fuel pump. I'll look once I know if you need it or not. If it's the brass style I wouldn't be surprised. If it's the rebuild able Nikki type or whatever I'd be a little surprised. But being 30 years old it could happen

Yeah, oddly, the rebuild able ones don't even need much rebuilding.

Thank you izzo for the update :P yes, float and valve. I have a Hitachi carb and we just want to get away from it to something more simple like a Weber. But the problem is, do I wait until I can find a Weber which means I probably miss canby, or do we try and find the float and valve. As it sits there's no way I'm getting to canby unless this is fixed. Rawr.

I just took a Weber off the 520 ute because it was hard to start if it sat for any length of time, and it didn't have a lot of power in my opinion, once warmed up and running it started and ran alright, it's the same carb that has been on it since I got the truck running, it was on an L20b in a 1980 Datsun 720 4X4 I bought and drove home from Eugene several years ago, I don't want this carb, I will never put it on anything I own again.
It started alright if driven everyday, but once it sat for a week................................

My new Weber does the same thing. Lol.

It as installed 2 weeks before I bought the truck.
Fiddled with it a little. Any gap in usage is a PITA to start.

I don't know if it will work on a A14, I do think it is either jetted to lean for an L20b, or it needs rebuilt.
I have other brand new Webers around here that I would use before this carburetor, so you can have this one, otherwise it will just get thrown away or possibly get used for parts in the future, I would prefer it get used by someone verses thrown away or stored here.
I do know I don't have an adapter for an A14 intake manifold, as I tried putting a Weber on an A14 I have and was unable to work it out.
I heard that some 210s had L20b engines, so that is why I mentioned I had one, didn't know what engine you had.

I get the feeling you feel serious about this.
Honestly that's probably what's going to happen. Weber is most likely a future purchase.
