It's technically the next day, 12:42 AM lol..

So.... I swapped the carbs on the 720. from stock to weber... Still ran like shit.. Now I had looked around, and everything was capped off. I looked at the EGR. The tube is missing but the EGR valve still there.... Stuck my finger over the hole, and man it ran a lot better. So, I ordered an EGR block off plate from another member here. He sells them for 10 bucks shipped. I bought one... In the mean time, I just made my own block off plate.. The one I ordered has arrived. now the truck still wasn't quite right. Something was just off a little bit. So I squeezed the rubber tube for the PCV valve on the intake... And it ran even better! Sooooo. Blocked that off as well. I left it open on the block side, so it can still breathe if it needs to.

I also installed the stereo from my old b210 into the 720. Removed the front speakers, they sound like shit! It has some 6x9's someone was cool enough to cut out the fucking back rest in the back and installed them into that. Lovely. That will be getting replaced at some point. I also cleaned and adjusted the rear brakes on the 720. I need to one more time now that they have settled some. They can be adjusted a lil more.

Paint......... Got out the wool pad and cutting compound and hit the hood. Hory shet! Now the paint has some scratches, deep ones, couple paint chips, not much for rust on it... So i will clean it up as much as I can and call it good. The gas gauge also was INOP. It quit working on his way down here. Ended up being the fuel gauge. It's now fixed as I replaced it. Also adjusted the rear tail gate, I need to investigate a little further. I think some of the nuts are stripped on the under side of the bed where the hinges bolt to. Report back on that another time. Tinted the front corner lights and rear tail lights. I only did a few coats to make it darker, but stopped when the light got a hair darker. I want people to be able to see me still. Just the look of tinted lights. I still need to get the front turn signals..

Replaced the low beams with sealed beam 6k lights. They also have a running light separate. Will be hooking that jazz up at some point.

The steering is a smidge loose on the 720. Hasn't been eating tires that I could notice. But def needs some tie rods, steering link maybe, idler maybe? Need to get it up in the air and see exactly what it needs. I also need a rear lock for the sliding window.. Anyone have one laying around? I need a power steering pump maybe... I think this one leaks :(

So this 720 originally had the Z24, and someone installed a Z22. I'm super happy about this. However. They removed the manual fuel pump off the Z22 and installed the power steering pump. Did they make a block off plate? No. Did they use a gasket at least? No.. It was just puking oil out the effing hole mang.... Fixed now.

The main connector for power, at the battery side was fucked. Ordered a new one from nissan. All better! IDK if i got pics of the new connector. Oh well I don't recall if I mentioned this. someone installed the wrong alternator belt. Instead of getting the correct one. They just used a piece of flat steel, bolted to the alternator, then bolted to the adjuster and adjusted it out even further. Who does this shit?!??

Pics ---- PS! The little thin piece of metal shown, is what they TRIED to use as a block off plate. Super big fucking fail man. I am missing some pics I need to upload yet

Tater. Negative man. Same paint job. The wheels and tires on my truck were on his that looks just like mine.

Shawn Singh in California has the same truck too. Even had the same wheels for a minute.

I'll have more pics and updates later. Heading to the garage.

Oh yeah? What do you have going on in there right now?

My garage was clean until I pulled this motor out. I just stuffed another motor and trans in my garage. It's a guys down the street. He has to replace the timing set and gaskets on it. It's a z24. Once we get that done and stuffed in his Bush master. We are going to swap cabs. Someone cut the Bush master roof off. So it's trashed.

L16 was pulled to do a 5 speed swap. Decided to clean, paint, and reseal.

And since it's apart I keep finding other stuff to do. Never ending cycle.

Really I'm just trying to install all the parts I have been stashing for a few years now.

Cleaning garage, fixing Datsun at same time. Lol.

My 521 thread here doesn't get as much traffic as it does over there but it is pretty current for the time being.

And then the truck got a snug top! It was supposed to be one for the 720. But it's for s hard body. Very close. A straight cut just behind where the seal will mount, some fiberglass and a little sanding and painting it'll look good!
