Thanks! I still have a lot of things to get done on her, but I'm hoping she will return to a fun driver status.

Does anyone happen to have a routing diagram for the 240z intake for that little vacuum can that lifts the throttle for A/C or other issues?

Dude, clean your garage.

Lol, yeah. I got all the tools put away after I got the car sorted. Once I can back out the wagon I can get to organizing things a bit better. Too many motor parts scattered around.

Sweet, I started looking at the vacuum diagrams I had for the 240 and I think I understand how the little can thing on the top works now. It's a variable bleed system so when you whomp the throttle, when you let it drop, raises the secondary throttle lifter to increase idle and then gently lets it down to full idle speed. So that wanting to die when you rev it high and let off, that's what the control valve does. It holds the throttle just for a bit to make the idle return to normal speed without dying. So now that I know how to hook that up and that there's an adjusting screw on the back, that should cure that little issue!
Here's the diagram I'm using:

One tire fryer unfortunately. But I'll still try.
After it warms up above 6 degrees of course. It's cold here tonight. I just walked the dogs with 3 jackets and an arctic suit. I was toasty!

Any cool guy L4 parts in that messy garage can be brought down here during your test drive.

Lol, what do you need? I hardly have any L4 stuff anymore, but I'm sure there's something squirreled around.

The choke cable are running through the speedo cable grommet that was ripped wide open. Called Nissan, go figure, NLA.

Hood is back on finally. Removed all the air fuel ratio stuff, just had a bunch of temporary wires hooking it up. Figured I'd work on the exhaust first as I don't technically need the af gauge now that I have it pretty close. I can move the fuel adjustment a needle or two and go test it. I know I'm not lean anyway. I'll likely still hook it all up, but that will require more finding appropriate wires in the cab, just had it temped on the coil positive and a bolt for ground. I'd like to do that when I can open the door fully and right now it's been alternating between rain and snow outside, so I'm not really keen to back her out just yet.
Also re-attached the little vacuum lines to the cruise control. Hoping those work as expected. A little bit of an unknown there. I'd like to find a new bleed orifice. Little funky can with a 1/4 pipe fitting. Not sure how it works, but I assume it's a variable bleed diaphragm of sorts. Also, the other bleed function on the intake manifold doesn't seem to work. Or at least it doesn't raise the idle. Wondering if I have it hooked up correctly. Seems to be from the vacuum diagram. I don't know. Ooo, actually, I took pics of the 260z engine, I bet it has that can too. I'll check those.

Hmm, nope, it's correct. Maybe I'll try adjusting the screw to have it hold more vacuum.

Got the exhaust back on, want to re-weld one hanger, but other than that, Wynona is pretty much ready for road testing. Rose and I will probably take a drive tomorrow in her if the weather holds. It's Rose's birthday today, going to do wifey stuff all day. First order of business, walk the dogs!

Depends. Have Sunday Easter/birthday brunch tomorrow, then looking at a house. We shall see. Maybe I'll charge the gopro and have Rose operate it.
