I really wanna learn to weld!

Lately I've been damn busy.. 40+ hours at a car wash sucks fucking dick!
Fuck it tho cuz its money.

On another note. I'm only waiting for ARP rod studs now,
I couldn't find them through summit racing. So I might have to wait a while.
Summit is great at shipping next day to me.

Got this today.

Maybe I'll use the oldoldold!! L16s 210 head for its spring washers??

just play with the tig, you'll pick it up quick as shit.

If you can oxy weld, the process is pretty similar. only a lot more controlled heat... least from what I use it for. was amazing. wish i could afford a little tig machine.

I think what's at my house is a mig from HF...

The only thing that sucks is where you have to plug the thing in there like no room to work. Or maybe I'm trippen.

I put my whole kingcab 521 together with a harbor freight mig welder, and used only flux core wire.
The only draw back I see with HF welders is that you have to buy tips and replacement parts from HF instead of a welding supply store, that is the only reason I won't buy another one, or any other machine like that from HF, I want to be able to buy parts at any welding supply store, not just HF.
I made a 30 foot extension cord for my welders, I want to be able to take it to the work, and not have to have a specific area to weld.

I was thinking about making the cord longer but its not my welder, and I didn't know if it needs to be that long for a reason.

I'll try to start practicing.. When I have time...

I did not extend my welder cord, I made an extension cord that my welder plugs into, I had the cord, I just bought the ends I needed at Home Depot and put it together.
I now own a Millermatic Passport Plus, it runs on 120 or 220, I cannot recall if I have ever had it plugged into a 220 volt outlet, what I weld(sheet metal mostly), I can use 120V without any issues.

Just buy one. The folding HF version that everyone has doesn't take up much space and they're handy for lots of things. Once you have one you'll wonder how you got along without it. Plus you get mega popularity points since all you're less cool friends will want to hang out with you (it).
When the only tool you have is a hammer every problem starts to look like a hippy.

i thought hf ones were yellow or orange or some shit.

it could very well be. It looks stout, the arm has adjustable lengths which is handy, and it folds up. knock him down to 100 cash and you'd have a smoking deal (just offer 100 cash tell him you'll come get it now, no dicking around...) bet you he bites... might come back at you at 125 even then its a good deal.

I paid 40 for mine. It has a 3 ton ram on it... It doesn't colapse, but it would damn near lift an F350 quad cab off the ground

I've got one buddy with a datto..

There's been the 620 long bed on CL for a while now.
A guy at work was looking at it. I told him to call the guy so he did. 500 bucks.
Dude at work ask if I would check it out with him.

So may have another buddy with a datto.
