You shouldn't need new headbolts. Not if they've only been torqued once and never ran.
I'd reuse them.

Well slight change in plans.......
Last Friday my employer decided to give theposition they had promised me in a contract to someone else, so i politely gave them the bird, took 10 weeks severance pay and unemployment
So now I find myself with lots of time and lots of datsun projects...

Well I got my new head gasket, headbolts, and WP gasket so today I'm headed out to assemble the KA for what I hope is the last time!

First up the head gasket had to be replaced
Then it was out with the broken bolt
I win
And here is my new cylinder head with oversized super tech valves
But then it started going back downhill again.....
See the hole in the middle
See the hole in the middle not torque properly
See Adam want to throw things
So now I've got some research to do...... On how to fix this, off to redeyes KA build :/
But I did get a few more new toys
Too mount turbo mani
New cams
Fresh headbolts

Cams are a secret till I'm ready to install but they aren't the Brian crower cams I was looking at :/
And so far redeye is the only person to successfully fix the threads in question.....

For that, I probably wouldnt Helicoil, but instead use a TimeCert.
