^^^The interior looks pretty sad but the body looks really nice in the pics. I wouldn't think a takeout J-motor would be too tough to find. Plenty of 521 guys yank em. $1500 doesn't seem crazy high considering how rarely these come up for sale.
Yes, I know it's not a Datsun but it's just so well done, I can't stop wanting it. I should just go finish my own.

Everyone wants a mid 30s ford, but not for $38,000
The issue for me is that I am into Datsuns, I had a 47 chevy truck in my garage that was restored, it took more than half the garage up, and was getting scratched up, I am not into american car shows because everyone and their brother is in to them, and there are millions of guys/gals that have more money to spend on them, while most of us Datsun guys/gals are in the same boat, we are poor people doing the best we can with what we have, I sold my chevy about 3 months ago, I thought I would miss it, but it had been so long since I had drove it that I guess I had gotten over it, I guess it was a good call for me to sell it.
I had bought a TPI for it, I seen the engine run with it, I did not sell it with the Chevy, don't know what I am going to do with it now, I cannot get but a 3rd for it that I paid for it now as it is apart, maybe some day I will find a 1965 chevyII that I can use it on.

No ... I'm trying to stay focused on my current affair with my 411, but you know how it goes ... you keep looking and when another shows up it gets tempting.

Right!
an email or phone call to the owner might produce some. I'm out of the game for a bit. Gotta finish this 620, and then build the 620 KC and sell it before I can hop back in it!

So if the customers are so happy to see it in their showroom, why are they selling it?

I have about 4 SD25 diesel engines around here now, the tranny would be nice to have, but I don't have the time nor motivation to go get it.
I have to quit bring these things home, so I guess I am going to pass on this one, a couple 3 years ago I would have jumped all over it.
