New World Datsuns...

So the "new" fenders had some rust issues:



So I hacked off the bottom of some nicer donor fenders:



all fixed: ... some welds, some fiberglass, some bondo .... never going to look perfect:

The driver's door is basically perfect:



the rocker panel is not:

I never finished the bottom of the rocker panel ... so you can't put a jack stand on the non-existant seam:

I mixed up a gallon of white rustoleum, trying to match the front fenders, and used a paint roller again:



the door was the first color I mixed up .. then I made an almost bamboo tan for the hood ... the valence is stock rustoleum white

I figured I would finish the rear fender arch later ... I needed this car to be back to my daily driver:

Then I put seam sealer all over my shitty welds ..... and made a shifter hole cover plate:




and used some high quality marine grade rust preventer paint ..... it's NOT rustoleum!!!

And daily driver, again...

This car used to be a 1969, but it never had any 69 parts when I got her ....

so now she finally has a 69 dash, grill, and marker lights:
