My brother has the black '36 we did some work on last fall/winter. Maybe I'll do a separate thread on it too.

A Bricklin ,Now that is something that is very rarely seen, very cool

I think it takes Canadian blood to really appreciate a Bricklin :roll: . It's kinda cool but the build quality is horrendous. They really did deserve to fail. I have it drivable now and have been working on the doors. Once I get some fresh pics I'll post em up.

Thanks. It's pretty well up to date now and generally goes in spurts. I'm crazy busy with work right now so the side projects don't go as fast as I'd like. Stay tuned though. Thanks for looking.

My brother's newest bus. '72 Riviera.


Probably won't need much mechanically. He's having a garage sale today so he set it up in his yard with a sign in the window. If it doesn't sell this weekend he'll clean and repaint the wheels and bumpers, then buff out the oxidized paint. It'll sell pretty quick and he should triple his money.

Extricated some junk from the Bricklin today.

New control relay and new pump installed and wired. Just need to run 1 air line.



Then my dad showed up with his latest bus. Still needs more brake work so he left it at my house.

The bus was built by 2 of his uncles years ago. One did the mechanicals and the other did the body and paint. They were probably in their 80s at the time. It's been sitting for a few years but he said it runs great. Aside from the sunroof :roll: and Mustang hubcaps it's pretty correct.

I finished plumbing the Bricklin last night. Now the the pressure is up to where it should be both the feed solenoids are leaking. Time for a new shopping list.

My brother brought his '71 over last night so we could rack it up and get a good look underneath. We were amazed at how clean it was. No one has ever lifted it on the pinch weld and there is no body damage at all. And no evidence that there ever has been.

The only rust anywhere is the aux battery tray area -- which is really common. And this random single spot on the front fresh air grille. Almost looks like it had acid splashed on it or something. Weird.

After we looked it over I helped him pull the bumpers. He's going to straighten and paint them along with the wheels.

Man I really dig that car. But all those hoses and wires is a complete spaghetti ball. That really how they sold it or??

Are you talking about this?^^^ Or the stuff in the pile that I removed? Originally these had hydraulic doors but they were problematic so almost all the cars were later converted to pneumatic systems. The pile on the floor is just an old musical horn, the old compressor, the old compressor controller , some random wiring and the Mexican taxi fan.

Welcome to the '70s. Probably looks about the same as the engine compartment for a '75 Cougar or Thunderbird. The only thing that isn't typical is the old blue compressor on the LS inner fender and the add-on cruise control. It's really not that bad.

lol... Really not that bad? Jeez man. If something went wrong with that, vacuum or wire wise. I'd set it on fire or sell it. Probably the latter given my history

Guess I could trace that stuff and figure it out over time, but I'd rather work on this anyday Lol.

It may look impressive but it's the combined effort of 3 guys over the course of several years. Sometimes for fun -- sometimes for profit. Seems like lately I don't have much time for the fun stuff.
