New World Datsuns...

Got this B from Banner. Shoot, I bought this from him Feb of last year. This is the second longest I've owned a car. 14 months Longest was my 80 720. had that one three years.





Fast forward to Feb of last year..

Here it is sitting my driveway. I had just split up with my ex. So the purchase of this was on the down low. Ignore the oil on the ground, that's from her 97 voyager.



A drunken night in a field proved to be bad.


A trip to banners house... Good to go again!


Ownership finally on paper!

Next was to remove the bumper and make a bozo pipe for this bad boy...
High resolution graphic design made in a really expensive photo editing program (three seconds in MS paint to be exact )


Making it happen
First, pull the rusty truck out of the car port


Second, find the dead rat....



Braaaaaaaap. Along with this, the muffler was removed and a 14" resonator was installed. This car makes a perfect sound....






Next... Pop a head gasket, check... Replace head gasket, ok!


Next step. Bust a head bolt in the block... Then smash a nut on it with a 5lb sledge, run a bead around it... Done!



Head installed... Didn't take any more pictures after this. pretty self explained. Install head, torque bolts, set valves, put together.. Vrooom!!



Next, the goon needed a new motor. And well, pull the passenger seat, put the motor in there and haul it home... Its what us without a truck do, yo.

Hey, there it is! Woot. Way to keep her on the road izzo. Is the.old lady drivin it solo yet?

Not yet. Not sure why, either. She does ok on take offs, stops. She needs some practice down shifting. Nothing like going from third gear speeds to 2mph and her leaving it in 3rd gear trolol. Other n that, she needs a little more hill take off practice...

Looks like she didn't get that job in Canon beach........... so.... She doesn't quite need a car at this point, and her dad moved in next door. So, the wheels on the dime are going on the B tonight. Dime's going in the garage... Gonna rock the B while I yard the motor out of the dime and replace the oil pan gasket. Here in two weeks I get paid and should be snagging the stock 510 rims/tires/hubcaps off Jeremy's green super patina car for this 510

The sound of an A series, with straight pipe and only a 14" resonator doing 60-70 on some curves... Got me some wood.

Oh yeah, these wheels look dope as hell, and they grip like you wouldn't believe.
