With hood on, the 3.75" it was bent to the right really shows up.









Dave and I destroyed the already bent left front tension rod bracket in pulling the front end back.










Front and rear as close as we could get them on the frame rack.

Floor and trans tunnel floors patched in from Driven.s coupe.



Still need ground down.


Pulled the gas tank, looks good from the top.


Bottom side not so good-stock tank only holds about 10 gallons to began with-this would be a bit less.


Was getting ready to weld in frame connectors and pulled the back seat bottom?

They needed a way in and out.


Frame connectors and plates-1X2-.120 wall and 3X4 plates. Having them welded in by a friend with a 4 post lift.





Under the decal, on the doors were holes and lots of rust. So had a couple to doors laying around..

how much was it to throw it on the rack?

The Frame Rack belongs to a body shop, the owners, which Dave has known for a long time. We learn fairly fast how to operate the rack and spent about 6 hours total, on Twisted. Let's just say they didn't charge us very much!

Not only was time a factor earlier this year, but the more I got into the car, the more uncomfortable I felt about selling it to someone else. I still need to remove the left side quarter panel window molding and see if there are holes under that side as well.

I'd love to have it, anyways even knowing there is issues. At this point in time I have to much going on with my B210 and 210, and need to invest my dollars and time into those. I am still in the market for a 1200 coupe, I just can't get it for at least another 6 - 8 months. Maybe you and I could meet in person sometime and see where we stand then eh? I know you have some concerns, maybe after talking a bit in person and getting to know me a little more those concerns would be re-assured. Either way, good going on the coupe man. Very good job saving her! Your skills are far better than mine.

Took Twisted for frame connectors today.



Ground most of the paint off for welding.

Plug welds.


Plug welds and stitch welding the edge.




Transmission cross member brackets. Left stock automatic trans mounting brackets-they line up with 210 5 speed mount.

1X2 3/16 channel.

Mounting brackets same length as stock location for 4 speed, clearance for transmission removal. Plug welded too.



So connected front and back of the car together- less flex in uni body and a place to weld transmission brackets. Next, a bit of spray paint.

could you get a quote for a frame rack? i need to have the 610 fixed soon

Set-up is 2.5 hours to get on the rack and get it ready to straighten. To straighten both frame rails 6-8 hours. Shop rate is $65.00, so set-up and 8 hours about $700.00+

Rear floors are in good shape, will fill in the drain hole and plug weld the floor where it contacts frame connector-that's next.

Im realy wanting to do this. Ive gotten the steel... but I also want to run the exaust out the Side.. wich is probably not going to work.

just go for it, it gives you a place to attach a hanger for the exhaust.

Hako NOT for sale, owner brought with him when he move to Washington state from Japan. DaveC encouraged him to bring the car to Blue Lake picnic today... We'll see. Yes, Twisted has turned into more of a project than I thought, too far in to stop now.

Wasnt the hako damaged aswell?

Yes, an elderly lady, in her 90's back into the right rear quarter panel with her S10 pickup. He got replacement parts from Japan and is now in a battle with the insurance company over the "less than best " repair job. May be why he was a no show at Blue Lake.
