about 2 years ago now i picked up a basket case 73 PL620. it was cheap but it came with a Webered L20b, Delta cam, centerforce clutch and a 5spd. and for $600 i couldn't complain, although we only paid $500 for Tabby. heres what we got for our $$.....

like i said, basketcase.

but it was lowered in the back, 3 or 4 inches, i still havent looked, reindexed torsion bars, newer seat with the cut out, 2.25 inch exhaust which looks to be stainless, and 15inch Toyota 4Runner rims. its also 98% rust free, and has shaved hooks, which i am not a fan of but whatever.

the ONE rust spot i have found.

while we were putting it together i figured i would paint the truck. its a shit job but its better than tits on the side of the bed

thank ya! its been a project and i have to repaint it again. planning on dark cherry red with gold flake, gold pinstripe and of course tint. oh also wiring up the turns to work separate from the brakes. i have an idea on that but i have to play with the lights themselves before i can confirm that though.

its been almost a year since i posted in this one. i will take some pics, or have the kid take some as he is better with a camera than i am. the motor is almost complete, i still need a lower alt bracket and to clean up the flywheel and install both. the kid and i figured while the motor is out that we would paint the engine bay and clean up the wiring. i am relocating teh aux fuse box i installed under the dash so it is hidden and running convoluted tubing over the wiring to give it a cleaner look. HOPEFULLY, he'll be back together soon.

my still to get parts list to make this beasty go.....

new motor mounts
new bolts for fenders
new clutch (the centerforce is still good but its a REALLY heavy clutch so a stocker will go in)
new rad and heater hoses
82 720 alt
zx lower alt bracket

i think thats it for now.

I dig the red spray not complete red... Just kinda over the black. Gives it a different look. Today its hard being different. 510s all have rewinds or libres or SSR wheels... a lot of trucks have turbines, rally wheels, pathfinder wheels.... all rattled canned the same color it seems..

For the most part, anyways. not all of them.... anyways. good on you, didn't see this till today. keep it up! PS, are these pics for ants?

damn its been a LONG time since i updated this. since the last update i have had hand surgery and back surgery so nothing has gotten done. and i do mean NOTHING! as it sits i am tempted to just make this thing a cruiser and drop the automatic in i was going to put in my other truck. i have been having shoulder issues as well so right now a stick is not good for me. this also will cut down on the list of parts i need to buy a little bit. heres the list of shit i still need even if i put the auto in.

kickdown switch and bracket
atf
filter kit
motor mounts
external trans cooler
bolts for pitman arm (i lost mine somehow)
nuts and bolts for fenders
trans mount for the auto
oil
coolant
an assload of zipties to mount harness
new aux fusebox
and door seals

but IF i do put the auto in this, my other truck could be on the road shortly there after since ill be pulling the clutch hydraulics out. so thats a good thing. who knows, maybe next year youll see this pig at canby.

Auto makes sense if it helps you enjoy it.

Kinda what I am thinking. Don't really want to as I have a 5spd in there now but with my health issues I don't know how much longer I can do the stick.
