Thinking about picking up a set for my wagon. Anyone every used Speedway's house-brand gauges -- or even heard anything about them?

I haven't personally tried a set or know of anyone that has them.
I like Speedway , but their stuff tends to be hit or miss in my "general" experience. (arn't they all .. sorry for that)
They look cool though !!
Do you have a link ?

I do too. Plus for the price, it's not a huge gamble. I think I'll order a set in the next week and try to get them installed so I can review them.
...unless someone talks me out of it.

I know alot of guys, that i race with, and they run speedway brand gauges, and I will be as well soon, they dont seem to have a complaint, and some of these cars are abused pretty hard, and all kinds of nasty conditions, with no glass in the cars

They showed up yesterday so I got started...
My first impression is that they are certainly not high end. The weigh almost nothing compared to the old Stewart Warner gauges I had in my pickup. The mechanical gauges (oil pressure and coolant temp) have metal bodies and the electric gauges (volt, fuel, tach and speedo) have plastic bodies. They also have different size/style bulbs which has me a bit concerned that they may look different at night. We'll see.
I had to open up the holes in my factory gauges to make them fit. Here's a shot of the thermal damage to the factory connector. The harness side was really melted.
All mounted and ready to install...
I ran out of electrical connectors last night so I had to quit. I'll grab some supplies on my lunch break today and hit it again when I get home. I have about 10 connections to make for the main cluster then I need to make a gauge insert for the old radio location. Stay tuned.

Built a panel for the center of the dash. Looks like wood but it's some type of plastic or acrylic that was originally a door panel from the Backwoods 521.
Painted and bonded in place with some AutoMix. The 4 indicators are for high beam, CEL, oil pressure, and charge. Sorry about the flash.
Done.
Here's my feedback so far. They are cheap gauges but seem to work okay for the money. The lighting does vary a bit from gauge to gauge but wasn't as bad as I predicted. I left my infrared thermometer and my pocket scanner at work so I can't be sure how accurate the temp gauge is but it seems pretty close. It's going to the track tomorrow so I'll have a better idea after that.

I don't think there's any vids but I'm expecting some photos from my dad and coworkers. I just got home and my inbox is still empty. If they show up I'll post in my build thread. Came in 3rd in the street tire division. Fun day but I'm super tired from the late night and early morning.

Wasn't the keeper making those? Or at least trying to?
