If I made a thread for every car i've had, I'd flood the entire board.
So, just like my "The Next Episode" thread on ratsun. This is one thread for all my shat. from now, till whenever.
pics and shit later. today I start on the 210, since it decided to shit out the rest of the way last night on my gfs dad when he was on his way home. he was stuck for three hours. Turns out he wasn't mad, he was just tired and wanted to get home. Adriannes brother made it sound like their dad was livid.

read thru your thread
It still has that slight miss. Might need new cap/rotor/plugs. Did you already do that? I haven't really looked under the hood yet and didn't read the entire thread. Might check timing if I can find my timing light. They should only be at 5 degrees IIRC.
I want to get to work on this thing... It's getting a serious interior cleaning, fix the exhaust, fix the miss... Seems pretty solid tho. Fires right up and moves. Def won't win a drag race with it
But she seems solid.

I did replace it all already. Miss at idle?
Could be timing. I've compression tested it withing the last 5k, after I bought it.

Yeah. slight miss. If you already did plugs cap n rotor its probably not that, maybe plugs, but doubtful. i guess if its after 3k miles maybe.. but ive seen people run cars for many more miles n they were fine. IDK
hard to diagnose that stuff. Could be fuel or ignition. It's not bad enough to worry about it. just something id like to fix, one day
Got the motor for her car all but done cleaning wise. Gonna give it a once over tomorrow with a razor again just to be sure it's clean. Can't install the HG till i pull the other motor. Dude forgot the baggy of push rods behind the fence so I couldn't grab them
Supposed to go riding sunday. Looks like its going to be pissing rain sideways. Guess i might not go
on the bright side. Found out the head on the A15 is a peanut head. Not the JDM one, but a good one non-the less.

Check the dizzy and the dual coils? I have seen the ignitors or whatever it's called on the 720 fail. Swap dizzy with known good and try again.

Meh, not bad enough to make a difference. It's kind of a rough idle/miss. Doesn't die, scoots down the road fine. Again, these things would never win a drag race
Will check later.
210 time
Got the head off that motor to find out its a Peanut. not the high dollar one, but a peanut head! Sweeeeet. I spent 2 hours scraping the head surface on the head and block. Going to give it a once over tonight just to make sure I didn't miss anything. Pulling in the 210 to my tiny ass garage and going to start yarding shit off/out/away to drop that motor in.
Got the intake/exhaust/clutch/flywheel off the new motor. Was hoping to spray it right quick and wash it off. But fuck it. I noticed too one of the water ports was plugged on the block. Was a corroded up. So cleaned that up and opened it back up.
This was just after manifold and clutch removal. Didn't take pics after I was done scrubbing the surfaces. I also filled all the head bolt holes with brake cleaner. Let that soak over night then going to blow it out today with the compressor. Clean holes for this guy, giggity!
PS. the 210 clutch that was on here. Its a bit rusty, but it looks like it would clean up nice and be useable for someone if they want it. A wire wheel would clean up the flywheel nice, maybe have it turned? If nothing else the clutch disc itself could be wiped up and used.... It's free, speak up now... Let me know what pieces you want... Disc, PP, Flywheel, all of it??? I'll put it in a box and bring it to canby or you can come get it.

Shit, I always thought maybe I needed to dial in the idle a bit. Maybe idle to low or timing? Hard to say. Never bothered me that much though.
Nice work on that 210, moving quick.

got 12 hours in today. Built the new a15 (installed head, manifolds, alt etc etc. Got it back in, just hooking up a few more things tomorrow and test firing. Found out this had a different water pump, so stopped due to gasket for the night.

So... New head gasket, new intake exhaust gasket. Got all the parts swapped over, dizzy, alternator, auto line holders etc.
To do list
Fuel line from tank to pump needs hooked up.
tighten down driver side motor mount.
Put the little line holders back on the auto lines to radiator.
Install radiator.
Drain oil put fresh in.
Top off oil & coolant.
Give her a test fire!
Then I need to time it, and need to heat her up and hot set the valves.
