New World Datsuns...

So I'm thinking about finding New seats for the b. Figured I'd start a thread where people could post what they've had fit in their cars. Should make for good info for anyone looking to replace seats, or just have something temporary while they get theirs reupholstered. Hopefully someone's done a b before

Pain in the ass that is lol. Stupid cat hump in the floor. Not a lot of room in there.

Take the rails off the seats now, put them back in the floor. align new seat rails on, and weld them.. done... It was on the list of shit to do, but never got done.

Trade you some MR2 seats for an orange wagon

Yeah they pretty nice. Something will need welded to bolt them into the car, though.

What else have people pur in their dattos? Any datto/seat combo welcome! Especially if you have pictures

I'm eyeing a set of Prelude seats.

Anything is possible when a welder is close by.

Prelude, mr2, e30, I don't know many Nissan seats for swapping.

Civic and recaro's in a 510. Rodeo seats are a bolt in to a 720.

In which model? Trying to turn this into knowledge for the next generation of owners that come here lol

I'd take a set of B13 Sentra seats in an instant if they were to come up.

Yeah sentra seats might fit.. I have removed some B12 seats and they were pretty similar to that of 210 in the fact that the inside tranny tunnel side rear was at a higher point than the rest.

I gave away a set at canby to raddat (i think) a few years ago.

I was told that 90's something Ford tempo seats will fit perfectly. I have yet to try though.

240z seats and tracks in a 1200.

Used 1 factory front mounting hole, drilled another in the floorpan's seat brace. Used a piece of 1" angle iron across the rear seat brace and bolted the Z seat sliders to that. Total holes drilled = 5. No welding.
Gives a lower seating position than stock seats so you feel like you're sitting in the car instead of on it. Better side bolsters too.

In cars I like being down low by the floor pan, not right on it, but say abouts mid way between stock height and the floor pan... And yeeeehaw!!! Then slam it out, and you feel like you're really in it like Driven was saying... Feel like a part of the car

Didn't feel like it was neccessary to take a new pic .
The seats themselves feel pretty good , keeps you in the seat enough in tighter corners or during "spirited" driving , and more comfortable than they look.
If you're going to take a lot of long trips... I'm not sure I'd recommend these really , but I like them enough.
I like the looks of the original z seats better (much like DRIVEN has )

I drove my wagon from seaside, to Buhl idaho and back. 24 1/2 hour drive.... 1400 miles. My ass didn't hurt once in MR2 seats lol

When I got my wagon it had what I believe were '90s Cavalier seats. They fit horribly, were not comfortable, and didn't look very good. Luckily, I was able to locate some stock 510 seats. Don't put Cavalier seats in your Datsun.
