Re: Around Waynos house

I took my son and his buddy while my wife handed candy out at home. We walked 3 streets of garden homes in one neighborhood in about 2 hours and those little knotheads had about 6-8 pounds of candy each. When we got back home I implemented the dad tax.

I agree.

But the older I get the more I think technology is going to extremely outpace me.

Re: Hard headed Hardbody

Yeah I should have elaborated more in that post. Pull-a-part is the way I’ll go most likely. That P-A-P that has 2 of those trucks is an hour away, with no way of knowing the status of transmissions in them until I get there. The nearest P-A-P doesn’t have any Nissan trucks right now. I’ll just have...

I agree. Doctors and weathermen.

Luckily I don’t take either of those.

Re: Hard headed Hardbody

Yeah I think getting another 71c is my easiest/best bet. It did sound terrible. I have 2 different 2-piece driveshafts, one from each truck, and the longest combination I can come up with is still about 2 inches short. The 71b will remain in the shed out back just in case it’s needed in the future a...

Re: Around Waynos house

Yeah definitely take care of yourself. Only you know what your body should feel like. I take blood pressure meds and a statin but I don’t have those side effects you described. Obviously I got lucky.

I hope you return to good health soon man.

Question answered. Yes that has to be removed. Once I got the back case off this is what I found. https://i.postimg.cc/GtwYKjK9/8-DD6-D467-2659-419-E-A04-C-569-FC2719-F8-E.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/wMXNGs42/B5-E62-D36-EADF-4-B11-895-B-E0-DCB735-AB01.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/RF3QXhzp/EC27-F09-E-6-FA5-...

Re: Hard headed Hardbody

Small update, 71B will fit. And what I mean is it will bolt up to the engine, Nissan conveniently put a removable plate where the gear shifter goes so that could be removed and the 71B gearshift will fit without any cutting needed. They also pre-drilled two more holes where the crossmember bolts so ...

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet

Sounds about right. I have only cut grass here maybe 4 times this year. Unfortunately we are in severe drought status in Shelby county where I am, literally right under the red blot. https://i.postimg.cc/XJrD08KZ/592-D9475-F0-BA-4231-B78-F-546-E85-AB5477.jpg (Crude/distasteful comment removed. Re: Around Waynos house

Sometimes I miss having a garden. When I was a kid we had about 8-10 acres planted with corn, potatoes, tomatoes, okra, squash, cucumber, collard and turnip greens, snap beans and black-eyed peas. It was a lot of work but it was very fulfilling. I also miss riding on the tractor. Beside the seat as ...

Easy fix quota met for the year. Next 5 will be a pain in the ass. Followed by 5 mildly irritating ones.

What’s the probability of it being fixed up/semi-restored and someone in the ex’s family wanting it back?

Re: Hard headed Hardbody

Yeah, but probably kind of hard for me to acquire as late as it was that night. Hacksaw blade loosened it for me. “New” trans (actual 71b) is resting in place so I can do measurements on a cross member and driveshaft. Still not sure which route I’m headed yet. I may just try to source another 71c ge...
