Re: Blues current daily

Something similar happened to me like 20 years ago. Long story short I came home from work and there were 3 cop cars in my court. Not really thinking anything about it I pulled into my driveway and was quickly being yelled at by a couple cops with guns drawn! Turns out a car I sold a week ago was us...

Re: Around Waynos house

Don’t get me started on Kaiser. The primary care there was always questionable to me. The final straw was a couple years back I was not doing good. Went to see my primary and was told I had acid reflux. A few more visits with worsening condition and I finally just went to the emergency room. Long st...

Re: Around Waynos house

I’m obviously not a doctor but 96/64 seems pretty low. Isn’t 120/80 considered normal? I had an issue last year with a new med the doc put me on. I was at work and I started getting blurry vision, lightheaded and a little disoriented. It started once it got hot outside and I was doing strenuous stuf...

Re: Laecaons New Place!

Yeah, oils will eventually soften the PVC, making it swell and possibly bursting. UV (not really a problem inside) does make it brittle. The biggest problem is that it is what is called “notch sensitive”. If it gets a deep enough scratch it will create a stress point and then failure. Also, certain ...

Re: Laecaons New Place!

I would not advise using PVC for compressed air lines. I know many have and say they have no issues but try and find any PVC manufacturer that recommends using their product for air or gas use. That and I have personally seen what happens when it fails. It’s like plastic shrapnel everywhere. In the ...

Re: Around Waynos house

Common problem on these old journal bearing type turbos was that the oil return would coke up and restrict/block it and the turbo would slowly die because the oil was not flowing very well. It was just sitting there getting hot and eventually lock up the shaft. I remember changing out plenty of earl...

Had a 03’ TL type S. Was a solid car. Traded it in on a Dodge Magnum RT in 06’ the wife still has. Ours was an automatic and never had any issues with it, but we didn’t put a lot of miles on it before we traded it in.

Re: Blue’s pad

My old house in Hollister had a bunch of fruit trees when we got it. Between the hassles with vector control/med fly monitoring and some of the fruit (or variety) not to my taste, by the time we sold the place they were all gone. Our current place has a cherry tree and a couple apple trees.

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet

Back when I rode more, I was never really a long ride guy. My tastes were in the canyons so it usually short, fast bursts with a lot of adrenaline pumping so after about an hour of backroad charging I needed a break. I actually thought that was a lot of work until I started racing motorcycles. That ...

Re: Around Waynos house

While it won’t happen anytime soon, pvc is UV sensitive and will eventually get brittle and start cracking, usually starting at the female threaded connections, especially if it is metal threaded into plastic. I can see you put a bunch of time into this so you might want to consider painting the pip...

We got our $2400 direct deposit on Wednesday. My understanding is if you got a tax refund (or had to pay) via check by mail, it will take a little bit to get the paper check. Depositing checks in the ATM now is super easy. You put the check in (no envelope), it scans it, you confirm the amount is ri...

Re: Gray Man, Inc.

I know these are unusual times, but it’s not that hard to still have some form of customer service. If something like this was happening with me, with a decent sized purchase, I would look for other options. I mean if this outfit won’t even take your hard earned money, what’s going to happen if ther...

Re: Waynos work truck.

I would guess the knock had something to do with it. It looks to me like there was a hot spot there that eventually burned its way through the fire ring of the head gasket. Does the metal part of the head gasket come close to the edge of the cylinder?

As that is probably a metric thread, you may need to look at a place like Mcmaster Carr for the rod coupling.

Re: Gray Man, Inc.

Hmmmm, sounds kinda familiar. So when I got my 1st lift about 5 or 6 years ago I kind of got a similar runaround with different places. What I ended up doing was buying the lift thru Summit Racing ( no sales tax ) and have it “delivered” (they don’t actually stock them, it drop ships from the mfgr) ...
