Re: Escape From the Prison Planet

Yup. As long as things go according to schedule it pays really well. None of us can control the weather.

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet

Got home really late Saturday night. Started laundry and passed out. Got up, finished laundry, then did some yardwork. Came inside, ate dinner, did an expensive report, packed, passed out again. Up at 3:30 this morning and headed back to the airport. I'm in Houston now and if all goes well I'll slee...

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet

Workin' man's blues, second verse: American left me stranded in Charlotte on my trip home. I'm in a hotel now, luckily. I'll lose exactly 24 more hours of my life on this delay, assuming the rest of the trip has no hiccups. That leaves me just enough time to do some paperwork and a load of laundry, ...

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet

Not a vacation. But they are putting me up in an all inclusive resort, so there's that.

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet

Another slow week in Jamaica. https://i.postimg.cc/y82Bh8BG/20190416-141519.jpg Been trying to tame a couple street dogs in my down time. https://i.postimg.cc/MHZ8Zcbn/20190415-141808.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/xjg2xRnM/20190415-153801.jpg Brown one is pretty timid. Her brother will just about eat out...

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet

Yup. On that note, we backed away from the gate in Boise and there was a series of flickering cabin lights. Pilot came on to explain he had to shut down #2 engine and restart it due to some error message. There were many concerned faces. But we made it to Phoenix.

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet

It's been a long time since I've flown Alaskan but all the rest have complicated my life at least once. I have to book all my flights through Honda's travel department and they must have a deal with American because that's who I usually end up with. Last trip was 6 flights on 3 different airlines. M...

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet

Not sure what it is. Leafy with little purple flowers. The previous owner had his horse grazing on it. My plan is to refine the fencing that's there and add more, then get some sheep in there. Same with the smaller area next to the road. I'll be home briefly next weekend, then gone again, then home ...

Re: Escape From the Prison Planet

Spent the last couple days spraying for weeds. They got way out ahead of me last year so I want to do better this year. We've had more showers this year than I remember over the past 2 springs and it's really made everything green in a hurry. The field below the house was little more than bare dirt ...

Re: Around Waynos house

Nicely done! If I'm recalling correctly, the J15 in my brother's 520 was straight up. Not sure about 320s.

Re: Around Waynos house

Great progress.
I couldn't picture the starter in my head so I wasn't sure. Looks like the one you posted would be a no go. Hopefully you can get something else figured out.
This will be a pretty cool accomplishment if it all works out.

Re: Around Waynos house

Any chance the nose cone can be rotated 180* so the solenoid is on the bottom?

Re: Around Waynos house

If it were me, I'd sell the 60 to an MG guy because they're likely to pay stupid money for it. Plus, I think it's on the weak side for a J15 in a pickup. 71 series would be safer, cheaper, more available. Fitment being the real wild card.

Re: '36 Ford Pickup long deserved upgrades

Looks like the battery is junk. It would take a surface charge up to 12.4 but just cycling the fuel pump dropped it to 10v. Since I had bought the identical battery for my wagon, we swapped it in and it cranked over fine but wouldn't start. Turned out that a connector at the coil had been bumped loo...
