Re: Around Waynos house

Next year the tomatoes are going to the left of the newly planted row on the left, and I will plant one more row of straw berries where the tomatoes are on the right. https://i.postimg.cc/QtCMkfVJ/002.jpg I what I call graze when I am out in my garden, I can spend half an hour eating stuff available...

Re: Around Waynos house

I worked in the garden this morning, I started here. https://i.postimg.cc/J7kQ25t7/001.jpg I went right down the middle of that row of strawberry plants with my rototiller and now I have 2 rows, then I planted a row on each side of them 2 rows. https://i.postimg.cc/Bbz9bc9n/002.jpg Since I am planti...

You have guts, I never pull steering gears apart, I have heard too many horror stories about doing just that and them not being able to get it back together.

Re: Waynos 1966 datsun 520 ute

Well I went all in on this today, it rained last night but was not raining this morning. I measured very carefully and cut the sides. https://i.postimg.cc/fLqM9WTT/004.jpg Then I test fit it and realized my box isn't really quite square, so I cut the front hinge area off as I didn't want to deal wit...

Re: Waynos 1966 datsun 520 ute

I have basically decided to cut it to the size of the bed, but it will need to be dry outside as I don't want to work on it in the rain. I can work with fiberglass, I repaired/modified my carbon fiber hangglider a few times, and made the mount flanges on my 720 dually fenders once I cut the to the c...

Re: Waynos 1966 datsun 520 ute

I can cut this cover to fit so there are no holes in it, but this will leave a raw edge all the way around, it likely will look better also except for the raw edge, and keeping the water out will also be a little harder as seals have depth and width to them, the depth will raise it all the way aroun...

Re: Waynos 1966 datsun 520 ute

OK, I am going to post all the photos I took of this cover, this thing almost fits my truck width wise, if it were even an inch less it would fit, but the gaskets along the edges do not quite touch, but this is good as it don't rub the paint off. What do you guys think I should do? Should I cut the ...

Re: Waynos work truck.

The clutch pedal started vibrating a while back at times, so I put a new collar/throw out bearing in today before it started to rain, all I did was slide the transmission back just far enough to get it out and back in, I also put one of my new clutch arm seals in it, looked good in there, it only to...

 It won't be that bad, and it will be something unrelated that's a pain and after that everything else will be no big deal.

Re: Around Waynos house

Well it is alive, it started so easy it was like it had been started yesterday, well I did get it to run a second or two yesterday. https://i.postimg.cc/pXHgjy0z/001.jpg Everything that needs to work is working, thermostat opens, with some coaxing the fuel pump works, even with a electric fuel pump ...

Re: Around Waynos house

So today I decided to go for a bicycle ride and didn't get past the first garage sale, there was a Troy Built cultivator/edger for sale for $10.00 with a sign that said it would not start, needed service, I brought it home, turned it over and dumped the weird color fuel out, I searched it and the se...

I am happy you figured it out, the rest should go easier for you as now it is about tuning it rather than getting it to start.

Re: Wynona the wagon's resurrection!

I don't know how newer engines work, but my diesel engines need oil pressure for them to start, but if I unplug the wire from the sender/sensor it thinks it has oil pressure when I turn the key on because there is no ground as I removed the wire.

Re: Waynos work truck.

I didn't like how the bumper looked, it was my best 521 bumper, so I did this. https://i.postimg.cc/jdB8vprh/016.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/pL8sSsWM/017.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/q7T1H2qh/019.jpg I did that to break up the straight lines on the bumper that were wavy, I used 2 not so great 320 bumper ov...

Re: Waynos work truck.

Well I got up and sat in front of the computer for a while, then I went outside and looked at that fender and a few hours later all is good again. https://i.postimg.cc/7h0rfsZw/001.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/Ghn1ZCX2/002.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/Nf8wtznx/003.jpg I broke the original antenna so I put t...

Re: Waynos work truck.

I was looking at the original fender this morning, I might see if I can save it and put it back on, I didn't really look at fixing it when I removed it, I just wanted the truck back in service for work.

Re: Waynos work truck.

I don't like the fender a different color, it will get painted red fairly quickly, just need to get the pressure washer out and clean it. I also found the trim Jamee gave me, there is enough there to do the doors except for one end cap, and only little pieces left over, none are long enough to do th...

Re: Waynos work truck.

By the way I know I should have done way more than just putting it back together, like treating the insides of the fender with POR15 or something like that, but I just wanted it back together and it will likely outlast me, since I have pulled it apart everything will come back apart easy if I want t...

Re: Waynos work truck.

It's all back together now, I took my time and put a 1/16th" pilot hole in the exact center of all the broken bolts, then I searched what drill bit was used for each tap, they were 10NF32 and 1/4NF28, I did so good that when I drilled the tap clean up hole when I got almost thru the rest of the bolt...

Re: Wynona the wagon's resurrection!

OK, the thing I would check now is if you have power to everything when the key is in the start position, remove the wire that excites the starter and see if you still have power to everything in the start position, maybe you already have done this.
