Re: the red banner
No one has a crystal ball that really works, as far as I know ... how could you've known this was going to happen?
I wish you all the best on your recovery, and with any luck you'll still be able to save that 710 - positive thinking can't hurt!

Of course the price is a big problem, but it's not often we see one for sale.

Welcome both of yous guys. +1 I've seen this truck on CL ... it sure has a lot going for it. It's cool that you're straight-up about the rust. I think it's fair to say it's not necessarily a turn-off, the truck isn't a show-queen or anything, but it would be a rude surprise to find it upon inspecti...

It's always something, isn't it ? :x Either we don't have the money to work on them, or we don't have the time to work on them, or we don't have the space to work on them, or we can't find the parts to work on them. I don't know why ... but for some reason, keeping old cars going still beats driving...

It looks better than the roll of duct-tape I use, on the floor of my truck! Plus your cup holder matches your shifter nicely.Justinberni » Fri Dec 18, 2015 10:53 am wrote:Got sick of not having a cup holder, so I built one in my shop class.

Alternator. An 80amp or higher will do wonders for your heater/wipers/blinkers/headlights. Good point ! My headlights seem fine, but that doesn't mean they couldn't use more juice. I installed an alternator for a '72 510 with A/C in my 620 ... the factory rating for those was 65amp ( I think ) but ...

Somehow the 510 has the largest fender/wheel gap... It is also the only Datsun I have with stock wheels ... coincidence ? ;) http://www.adclassix.com/images/72datsun510wagon.jpg When I get home today my goon will be less than 100 miles from the odometer turning over. I'm trying to think of a locati...

Too bad the pictures are out of focus ... that or my eyes are bad.
Neat, but I agree the price is too much. I think having the real McCoy is better anyway!

Dana 30 in front, out of a cj7 with 620 disks and calipers (4.27), and stock 620 rear with what I think is a 720 3rd member (4.625) Makes for some interesting driving in the snow. lol. Dana 20 divorced transfer case. That would make for some "interesting driving" - I'm guessing the rear just "slips...

If I ever get another Datsun 620 - I want a period-correct wheeler like this!
I dig the wheels. I'm very happy with Wrangler MT/R's ... my latest set (on my Yukon XL) are the Kevlar's.

I don't blame you for passing on the high priced items, especially if you're going to hot rod it. There are so many things that catch my eye ( I don't know why I look ) that I'll never buy. It's sure fun to find something for someone else. You can bet if I see one, I'll let you know ! Not long ago I...

Re: WTB l18e intake manifold
The napZ head has the intake on the passenger side, it doesn't work on an L head. I agree with your comment. :) I though the 1979/80 200SX had the L20B ... but I could be wrong ... it wouldn't be the first time. I remember seeing an EFI intake on Australia's eBay, a while ago, but my memory has kno...

I think 1979/80 200SX motors had EFI ... you might have some luck sourcing one of those. http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j75/soldier4snipin/EAFE4C58-8446-48C9-8C11-78DDFD60F051-2517-00000185A4825DBF_zps1400f3c6.jpg At least you're getting some hits. I'm sure something will come around

I like that this trailer was posted by Adam Carolla : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Szj0gCkFuk I don't watch many movies, nor TV shows, but I might have to check that one out some day. I have to say, I'm a Paul Newman fan. Not so much for his acting, but more for his approach to business. Newman'...
