sweet looking 521 and the price is a killer deal. Do you plan on painting it?

since you lowered it, do you notice any vibration around 28 to 40 mph ?

This one looks familiar. Did it come from the Scappoose/St Helens area?

Yep scapoose, the guy who sold it to me was about 80 and he just didnt feel like working on it anymore, it needed a hardline and brake cylander replaced, and it came with both. had it running/stopping more or less in an hour or two.

yes Ni10 i notice a little vibration, i think i need to shim the blocks a bit to prevent axle wrap. and it might get painted, but i might not end up keeping it, its all yet to be forsean. I was thinkin laguna seaca blue??? or maybe just back to white

You could put spacers between the carrier bearing and cross member as well.

Your driveshaft being out of alignment is causing your vibration.

How big of lowering blocks do you have?

I dropped my 71 521 with 3" blocks, 1 spline in front and a 1" spacer at the carrier bearing and got vibrations. Never use to do that until I lowered it. I believe the only way to eliminate it is to get a 1 piece drive line made. At least that's my thoughts.

Try a 1/2" spacer under carrier or none.

1" is normally a good call for 4" blocks.
Maybe some 2* wedges on top of your blocks?

yah, 1 piece would be ideal, hopefully that will happen at some point.

@jayden71 its an old ski rack that i got from Jacob, we took the ski mounts off so its just like any normal gutter mount roof bars. the basket i got at fred meyer for like $80 and it came in 3 pieces, so we left the center one out to make it short enough for the cab. it just has a couple pieces of pipe inside where the halves join.
