Nothing new to update at the moment.

Although I did have a TPI fuel injection manifold on the workbench the other day. Just might be a winter project.

Ohhh, I bought some WELD Draglites for it a few months back, only to find out that they won't fit on the front without running larger adapters on the front to clear my drop spindles. Guess I am going to have to put them back on Craigslist.

Too bad. Those would have looked good. Still love the rallyes though.

I haven't gone anywhere..

No update on the truck, been way too busy feeding it gasoline on a daily basis. Funny, I walk past my Subaru that gets twice the mileage to get in my truck. Haven't driven the Subaru in a couple of weeks.

The water pump bearings are dying though, so I ordered a new aluminum pump for it. I also source a tilt column through the chevy truck forum. Unfortunately, I think It might be a van tilt column. They take a little bit to make them work and that is fine, I didn't really need a bolt in factory one since I plan to modify how it fits anyways. In stock position, the steering wheel is a little too close to the driver. I plan to move the entire column forward about 1.5".

The water pump, steering column, and trans pan leak just might happen this weekend. Its my long weekend(4 days). Don't have to be back to work until Wednesday evening.

Update time....

Major change coming to this project soon. Third gear is gone in my TH350. Actually I think it is a valve body issue as it will shift into third, but won't stay in third. I'm not going to have a non-overdrive trans rebuilt.

The motor is currently on Craigslist while it can still be test driven.

It is time for an LSx swap. :D

That motor is clean. Glad to see you here Jason and an update!

When you planning on dumping the LS in it?

Well this motor still runs great and the trans still works in 1st and 2nd, so it can still be test driven by a buyer. It will be like that for a few weeks unless it sells. I'm going on vacation at the end of the month though. After that, it's game on.

Yes, it is a clean motor. Thought it might sell quickly, but all I am getting is freaking squirrels off craigslist. One squirrel told me he would not even drive to look at it to find out I would not take $400. If I have to deal with a Craig's squirrel and only take $400, I will put a brick on the pedal and let the valves float until there are new window in the block and get $400 worth of satisfaction. :fu:  Then I will take the parts that are still good and sell them, bet I get more money that way anyways. 8-)

People are asking 400 for stock L series these days :|

Its close to xmas. Expect cheap skates to be out. I think if you pulled it and set it aside, you may have better luck when spring is here. People are in better moods then.. Get more vitamin D and their wallets magically open up.
