Closet worthy, right there.....
My Datsuns, like good friends, have never let me down. At least in any way that was not understandable and thus fixable.

lulz.

As soon as I can get my hands on a combo switch and clam shell out it goes.

BUT-I do have plans for this thing.
It will continue to be Datsun even after removed.
Watch out now.

Yeah it's kind of creepy when a single friend doesn't have one and he's always hanging around your place looking at yours. Well, it's just a relief, you know?

So...I have amassed 250 miles on this car since I have claimed ownership.

Been a great little car.
Being a dealership technician, part of what I do is squeaks and rattles, NVH.
I hate NVH. But I'm kinda good at it. So when my car rattles, it really drives me nuts.

Image

The antenna was like this when I got it. Rattled the whole drive. It's rattled every drive I have had in it.

It took me a day or so to find the smallest one of these I could.
Image

We use them for license plates. Tighten the screw. Spreads it's wings. Stays tight.

Well---the smallest one I could find was too big for where I wanted to put it.

Image

With rudimentary tools on handI did what I could.

Image

Not a perfect fit, but it is in the hole.

The starter in my POS is a POS itself.
Barely hits. Doesn't spin. Gotz to go.

I have a couple starters laying around, so I should be good...
but how do I know which starter is good if it's been sitting around my yard forever... :D

Image

That's how! Power Probe 3.
Anyone who does a fair share of electrical work/diagnosis needs this tool.
If you are a tech and don't have one, you are losing money!

^ Click that. ^

OK. Not right now. I just home from work and the car is too hot.
Cool myself down with a beer as she cools down on her own.

OK...fuck that!

The last Z starter I did was soooo easy.
I grabbed some tools from work and brought them home.

Well, I grabbed to long of an extension and I can't get the damned oil filter off.
No room to grab the top bolt on the starter. Damned intake is so in the way too.

Oh yeah!
The last Z motor starter I did had an L head attached to it!
ARGH!
