Little White 620
Well here is the build of my 620 so far.
I bought it from a guy in lyons for $850. He was asking $1000 but after about 2 hours of BSing with him and making him feel comfortable that she was going to a good home, he gave me a good deal on it
the night i got it
on the way home the timing chain cover seal blew out (to much crankcase pressure) oil went everywhere haha
painted the grill and cleaned it up
got my new wheels on it. they are 15's off a nissan frontier. next step was to lower it
Lower it! but the back was still to high
mono leaf and 3 inch block
anyway, i drove it a while and ended you getting very tired of only having 4 gears so i was rummaging through a pick-n-pull and found a kc. sat down grabbed the shitfter and went 1-2-3-4...5! after that it was the s10 lip from the same day at pick-n-pull.
i wanted the amber brights, i almost spent $60 on a set then stumbled on Dupli-color Metalcast and it turned out great.
the seats are out of a tacoma and the shifter is a polished up old shell my dad had in the garage
welp thats about it. i thought i was just buying an older nissan, had no idea about the datsun culture

Re: Little White 620
Thanks. I had no clue when I got the truck that there was such a big Datsun fallowing. I knew everyone liked or wanted a 510 but I didn't know about all the rest. it's like the vw guys.. But better hahapeanutbuttercups wrote:I love 620's in white!! Nice truck

Do you have a write up on the seat install? What year Tacoma?
I don't but they were really easy to put in, I only had to drill holes. I'll take more pictures of them. I believe they are from a 96 or something. They were sitting in my old bosses shop, he took them out of his 64 Cadillac and was guna throw them away so I took em. He told me 96 but I don't think he was 100% on that. I wish I would have known about this forum when I started my truck. I could have done a few good write ups on the little things iv done. I was apart of another forum but I wasn't authorized to post anything and no one would fix it :/
Re: Little White 620
I was hoping you were gonna make a thread. Awesome to see the progress on your truck. Now we need to get mine more low!

Looks good dropped down. Hows the fit with the seats? I have been thinking about buckets in my 521 but I know the room is limited

thanks, will do.Eagle_Adam wrote:good to see new blood! im local to you, let me know if you need anything
they fit perfectly. i didnt have to make any brackets or cut or weld anything. just drilled a few holes. they are set all the way back right now so if someone short was to drive it would be adjustable. they tucked right where the back of the old bench was and they sit a little bit lower.Hooligan wrote:Looks good dropped down. Re: Little White 620
Your seats don't bolt in the same way a 620 does.Hooligan wrote:Looks good dropped down. Hows the fit with the seats? I have been thinking about buckets in my 521 but I know the room is limited
Best bet for a set of buckets in a 521 is to find one in a yard and cut out the seat mounts.
Take those mounts and your own to fit. There is nothing along the tunnel to mount to.
The 620s have a rail that runs the width of the truck to bolt the seats to.
It's that or custom make your mounts.
Go peek under your bench seat and you'll see what I mean.
