Re: --- My Blue 240z ---
Re-jetted the 4bbl Holley to 49's (remember the smallest jets made for a Holley are 45's ... and go to 100 and something ? never had to get there)
50's pictured , but 49's wen't in.
Also installed a large accelerator pump discharge nozzle #30 or #31 (bought a couple) from #25.
071613 blue z related stuff 001 by 71240z, on Flickr
Blue gaskets being re-usable , and easy to seal help 1000% ... well done Holley ... well done.
Popped off the cover with an 8mm or 5/16" socket on a 1/4" drive , and replaced both primary + secondary jets.
071613 blue z related stuff 002 by 71240z, on Flickr
Power valve is in the center , and the jets are on either side (duh right ?)

48 might be right for daily driving/no hills , but when really getting on it ... 49 feels safer.
There isn't a "huge" difference in the actual hole size , but sometimes that's all it takes to get something close (runs well...)

I'll either be dinking with the distributor next or going L28ET.
Haven't decided which as I like the boost , but the problems associated with it I don't lol.
Although it's more fun ^^^.
Sometimes having plenty of poop , and going is more important in the short-run.
Pretty sure in the long run there will be an L28et or something similar in her.
That's it for now
Tune in next time

Re: --- My Blue 240z ---
Oh yeah.. I'll be switching to the e12-80 distributor here soon.
Right now I have a points dizzy with a converted mallory module + spark box system.
the 79-81 seems to have better features all the way around.

Non 240z or Datsun related post below ...
Edited out for the moment --- maybe will add back in later with a bit more positive vibes
Time for less bitching ... more cheap tacos and cheap Whiskey.
/End-Bitching (for now at least ... lololol)

Thumbs up for the tacos and whiskey part only. Don't get cancer.

Im sorry David. Cancer is never good news. Hope this is just a Black Flag, and nothing serious.
Maybe its time to start taking some of that medicinal peyote...

Thanks Jacob.. I appreciate it man !Laecaon wrote:Im sorry David. Cancer is never good news. Hope this is just a Black Flag, and nothing serious.

I'm hoping the same....
I'll definitely read on medicinal peyote that as I have no real knowledge of it (whether I can get it or not ).
I have to read more in general , and split the time between reading on it... as well as my other stuff that I have in which I research sometimes during the week.
I've done some natural medicine (which some of it helped quite a bit versus the other stuff) in the past with some success.
Acupuncture.
The doctor that actually was brilliant , gave a shit about his patients , and helped me out for years died last summer of throat cancer

Re: --- My Blue 240z ---
My blue 240z got hit or backed into (?)
The car was parked is what adds insult to injury.
I'm still baffled as to how this happened since I was very careful of where I parked the car was very protected , there was no way any good driver or average one could have hit the car unless on purpose/drunk/high.
Door is pushed in at the top half of the drivers door ...like somewhat bigger than a fucking half of an oval fucking football.
Gotta leave it alone for a bit then come back to fix it when less "un-settled" over the whole thing.
Seems like no matter what you do to protect your gems.. they receive more damage then just leaving them be in the first place.
The ironic thing of all of this is I JUST got a quote to repaint this 240z and the yellow 240z 1.5 weeks ago.
No fucking pictures ... every time I look at it or reminds me I get relatively angry over the shit.

Bummer. Sounds like it's totalled. I'll give you scrap value + $50 for it.
