Vertically challenged 620
Vertically challenged 620
Well i guesss i will start a build thread here as well. Since i have been visiting here more lately then ratsun. Specs:
1977 datsun 629 k/c.
•front brakes: beebani disk swap, 90 hardbody 4x4 calipers and pads with 02 Honda passport rotors.
•L20B swap rebuilt back around canby 20012
•79 rear end gears... (Actual ratio eludes me currently)
•the dizzy is a 78 with a chevy hei module
•Trans is a 85 720 with a 77 front case swap
•alternator is a delco 110 amp
•front shock mounts raised 2"
•front shocks are kyb 344469
•rear leafs are 84 720 4x4. w/energy suspension poly bushings for the 720
•webber 32/36
•new door seals and quarter glass seals from socal
I have had the truck for a while now and really just been bringing her back to life. Has been a labor of love. There has been some more serious repairs and modifications i have wanted to under go but this being my only DD that has been hard to find time to do. To orrow i head up to PDX to pick up a new DD 86 720 4x4 and the 620 will finally get some love.
Things planned in the near future:
•notch the rear frame 3-4 inches so i can drop it some more lol
•remove the front bump stop mounts since i have no travel currently
•repair my rear cab mounts because they are toast
•finish rebuilding my U67 head and swap that on with my pre smog intake and exhaust manifold
•get the rock chips filled in the new windshield and get a seal to install before the rain comes
•install straighter rust free doors that im getting from adam
•find straighter rust free fenders (that paint match)
Anyway.. Thats all i feel like typing because im using my iphone on a count i dont have a co puter anymore haha. Here are some pics for your eyes to feast upon.
Also some pics of things in the works soon

Re: Vertically challenged 620
I may kill the 620 if it doesn't decide to start starting real soon. I honestly am baffled. But I'm not very experienced with this ignition system. I think it may be the dizzy. But who the fuck knows anymore. I know what it isn't. It isn't the coil, hei module, or lack of power to either. It's something in the distributer that tells the cool when to fire. The cap and rotor look okay. I need to check the sensor in the dizz. But I have been busy. Hopefully have a update here soon.
