I...... the ..... um...wagon. Just plain bad ass.
That starter wagon you began with.
I almost bought that. It haddnt ran in years, and I started it in dudes driveway after a quick carb flush.
Could get over the quarter panel.
He tried to sell me the jeep too lol.

Re: Just another car I'll never finish.
No. I sold it to some tweakers in Vantucky that claimed it was being shipped to Hawaii. A year or two later I saw the wheels for sale and made contact with the seller. He said he bought it from the tweakers in non-running condition and cut it up. Shame, it was a driver when I sold it and there was quite a bit of potential. Under 100K miles on it too. I got it from a100addict and it was previously owned by Dave Bothwell. Actually, Bothwell had owned both my cars at some point.izzo wrote:still got that blue wagon? i asked about it years ago when it went up for sale

Re: Just another car I'll never finish.
Those are similar to the wheels I got.
Not quite the same, though. Mine are appliance turbovec wheels.
My photobucket is over its limit... so those are an example. I have been working on cleaning them up. they still need a little more work.
Im happy with how clean they are now, though. Just can't afford to get tires on them yet need some soon! Waiting to put these on the b once I got tires.

Re: Just another car I'll never finish.
Sounds like the guys I sold it to. I wanna say I sold it for $900 so they were definitely taking a loss. The quarter on it was scary for sure but I had a perfect replacement I got from Klotz and 5 complete doors that went with it too. It was complete but cosmetically needed everything. Still would have been a good starting point. When I had it for sale I got a call from the keeper saying he'd take it but couldn't make it up for a couple weeks. I didn't feel like holding it and sold it to the other guys a couple days later. At the time I was trying to stack some Christmas cash but now I wish I would have held it for James -- It'd probably be a nice car now. I was told the only reason it got parted out was an electrical problem. Too bad.RedBanner wrote:Well I talked to some islander dudes. So probably after. I said 3 hundred and id drive it home. So cool.
Good to see someone thinking outside of the box on that swap.
Looked almost seamless going together.
Good work.

Re: Just another car I'll never finish.
Thanks guys.
The shop I work for is a Napa installer. Next month they Napa reps) are renting Woodburn for a day and letting their shop account employees make some passes so I plan to go beat on my wagon a bit. Won't be making any special preparations and won't have the nitrous installed. I may find the time to do an oil change and check the transmission and rearend levels but that's it. I haven't a clue what it'll run. Anyone know what a stock KA'd 510 does in the 1/4?

Re: Just another car I'll never finish.
A couple shot from Napa race day. These were from my dad's phone in the stands so sorry about the quality.
I made 10 runs before lunch. After that they started eliminations and I worked my way up. I beat the Nova (he broke out).
I beat my boss in the Cobra (he broke out).
Then there were just 3 of us. I had a bye run.
Then I adjusted my dial in right before running the Mustang -- and promptly broke out. If I had left my old dial in I would have won. The Mustang and a '48ish Ford went to the finals where the Mustang red lighted.
Our service writer is a photographer and got a a press pass so he got a few pics from the wall. If I get some copies I'll post them too. All in all it was a fun day. 15 total passes and nothing broke but my POS shift knob. Hopefully they'll do it again next year.
