Looking for a CA18 5spd or just the bellhousing. Let me know if you have one. Thanks!

Ha, I traded the one I had for a KA24E head. (the sucker) But any '84-'88? CA18E or CA20E from an S12 will do. If you get the whole transmission get the '86.5 and up... they were the stronger 71C type.
My Datsuns, like good friends, have never let me down. At least in any way that was not understandable and thus fixable.

It will, but some machining will need to be done on the inside f the case around the counter bearing. The 71Cs use wider gears and the front of the counter drive gear will rub inside of the 71B case. This is well documented and any machine shop can mill 1/16 or 1/8" off to allow it to work.

Note also below that the top shift rod hole has been made slightly larger too.

The '84 should have the larger 62mm counter bearing on it to match the later 62mm hole in the 71C case. If for some reason it doesn't you can swap one on. The only other close call may be the first / second shift rod hole. It's the top most one on the case and the 71C definitely uses a 16mm while earlier 71Bs us 14mm. Easy enough to use a power drill and the correct drill bit yourself.

Still have the rest of the transmission. It's from the CA18ET and has some of the later 71C mods in it. The special 2nd gear synchro. Has a 3.592 first to get the turbo revved up faster... which I'm nor crazy about. But I now have an earlier zx box so maybe I can 'convert' it over by changing the main/counter drive ratios.
