It comes with a mount; But not a fancy one.

There really isn't a way to mount this in an 86 without drilling holes.

On yours, it just clamps around the steering column.
You/he can get a decent SunPro tach at AZ for cheaper or this same one from Summit for $52+shipping.

i told him to call summit.
He made his own dash with his brother.
Pretty cool car.

He was asking a friend if he had an extra and i didn't know what a tachometer was until yesterday lol. well by name at least.
I'll def look into buying one.
Probably the same one form summit.

My paycheck goes into my account in about an hour so I'll get it then.

I saw some guy make a return line.
I remember reading not much gas comes out of there but i guess i was wrong.

I'll see what i can do but that's always one of the best resorts.
It'd be cool if i could put it somewhere else but i don't want to drill holes in my car. lol.

So I will be messing with the carbs this sunday but in the mean time, I tohught I'd get some of the other shit out of the way.
I lowered the car from the rear finally.

My tachometer came in and that will go on sunday as well probably.
I halso have to put the driver doors door panel in and I will be done.,
Things are looking up.

These pictures look weird but it's low enough for me and i can't get a finger in straight.

Haven't driven to know if it rubs but I'm hoping it won't.
I have 14x7 +12 so it will hopefully workout.

so today went pretty whatever.
The car is now able to be driven but I do want to take it to a shop to make sure the timing is done and tuned a bit more.
Thanks wayno!

I got a new battery but I don't have a tray or anything so I'll have to buy one tomorrow.
I did make return lines but I'm not sure if they're safe. Anyone think this is too close or IF gas gets on tranny, anything could happen?
The one on the right of the picture seems to short and I'm not sure if that could be dangerous.

The idling.
This sounds decent to me and my friend. Whatcha guys think? I'm pretty sure my timing is still off a bit.

This is the car starting.
my dad said it's off a little as well.

My license test is tomorrow. wish me luck!!!

Every one with a datsun should have a timing light. There are pretty cheap options.

Should have said this first.

Dude. Your doing great! Keep it up and good luck with the license test. No real pressure man, it will happen. I failed my first one. Lots of people do. Dont take it to hard if you hit some crazy questions that dont seem like they have anything to.do with driving.

I'm going to LOL if your drive test instructor says your car feels like the timing is retarded and asks if you own a timing light.

I have a timing light. It broke though. I never liked how it timed anyways. I do it by ear now. Or the drive real hard and listen for ping method.

Sounds close to me. Good luck on the test. Failed my first one by not turning my blinkers on soon enough. Most people here don't even use blinkers
