I'm not the most savvy when it comes to electrical stuff but shit I know to use proper connections.

"I'll just twist these, tape it and call it good"
No!

With what's happening to my truck in the future I'd love to rewire ever
Thing, if I can I will but for now I think I'll un tape my harness and make sure there isn't more
Wires like the three I found. Melted and taped together..

Lame you had to deal with the same kinda thing. I at first thought my problem was my IGN switch
So I replaced it. However that wasn't my problem.

So today I stopped by the junk yard. Was looking for a 520 drive line but decided not to get the one
That was there, do to the fact it looked bent and was bet to shit. So I pick up the dash wiring harnes plus swicths so blinkers and gauge cluster from the 520 instead of not getting anything cuz I like buying Datsun stuff!

I picked up the cluster even though I already have two, however those are 521 clusters. Orange is a great color and I wanted to make this one look pretty again. I'll post pictures soon.

I've had the whole 520 baby blue dash for a while now. I didn't want to touch it tell I got over to Olympia so jrock can do something sweet with it! Plus when i got the 520 dash I already had done made my new suede 521 dash so I didn't really need it. Ha I only bought the dash because I seen that someone had came to the same junkyard as I and took the one taillight from the 521 there in the yard so I figured if he/she was taking taillights then I don't want him taking this cherry 520 dash. So i did! :D Picked it up for 50 buck. The cluster and wiring harness plus red knob/switch, white heater knob blinker switch cost me 65 :) I'm fine with that. Next to see is if the 83 zx is a auto or not also 4x4 leafs and d21 ka oil pan and pickup. Lots of other little things to grab before I move to Olympia.

I'm going to be fixing all my rear end wiring. Things aren't pretty under there. One problem is one of my bulbs wires aren't long and connections are basically touching the housing of the lightbulb.
And that one bulb has three wires at its end, one is a ground that is also connected to my blinkers. So yes a bad ground could be the problem. Three wire connection on one blub??
