HI everyone! my name is RUI, i have 25 years old and i'm from Portugal... first, sorry for my bad english! Next, i want to show you my Drift diesel project, with a Datsun 720 Sd22 diesel engine 1988 with turbo...

Specs: engine full stock internals / custom head gashket / turbo Gt2056vk / Custom exhaust / intake manifold worked with no vaccum port / modified injection pump(3ºstage with mecanic pump 12mm) / eletric pré fuel pump / 320d intercooler / 1 more radiator / hks blow off valve.

Thanks a lot for feedback! I really spend a lot of my time working on this, a lot of bad night with no sleep with all the issues of this project... A lot of people in past, say, it's impossible, but now all the time i spend worth it... I love drive this and the truck is very powerful... And the engine with 160.000km, Still alive and very healthy!

Now i can go, side by side with BMW M5 :troll: :troll: :troll:
hehehe

Welcome to NDW
I have a few diesels myself, is your truck easy to drive on the street, or is it just a race truck?

The more I look at the photos of the engines, it looks like it has a VE type injection pump, and not the inline pump they came with in the USA
These phots look to have the inline injection pump.

While these photos look like something else is being used, as the injection lines look different in the second photo.

It's really hard to tell, the photos are so blurry.

I had a feeling that it wasn't a inline pump anymore, that is the route I have gone with my 720, I just have not made any progress lately towards the turbo part, to many other things get my attention.
Does it drive on the street good, or is it what I would call jerky/rough handling?
