Those look sharp.
And the increments you have them in, make for a more tuned suspension

Did you have someone do these up for you?

Kelvin Deitz used to have them machined, and sold them for 20 a set. he said he had a hard time selling them because people wanted to pay 100 for the same ones red anodized.... I asked if he would make another run and he declined. Shitty.

I think if someone were to make a good sized run of the most popular size of these, or even two... and plastered them all over this site, facebook... And maybe even CL. Might have a quick turn around. 20 bucks a set is a good deal. 80 - 100 bucks is retarded.

It think I paid $60 for mine with hardware and shipping. $20 would be a screaming deal.

Ebay a few years ago. I was on the hunt for awhile. Mine popped up from a a machine shop seller. Not sure they were a regular production item. Since I had them I never went back to see if they are still available.

So, yesterday!

I got off my butt, to do something nice for my mother.
It was 9:37 pm. I read a post on her Facebook and said to myself: Mom Needs a Pick Me UP!

She knows that I like to get out late and run the freeways from time to time.
Frankly it is how I went to sleep when I was a baby.
Mom would take my on the freeway and rap her 1963 beetle out.
It would put me to sleep!

So I took some money out and stop by Fred' Meyer's, bought he a nice card. Placed it in the mail box at 10:00 pm and just left.
Kind of a hit and run.
I hope she like it.
I spent like 15 mins looking for the right card.

When I am older, I want my kids to do the same kinds of stuff to my wife.
A real mother gives up her time and effort to make sure your a good person and can take care of yourself.
I am sure she knows those things.

But life kick you in the face wither you are young or old.
The difference is, younger folks have more time to change the outcome!
That is some real shit right there boys and girls.

I posted this because, maybe my kids will see this sometime?

So, I have always hated crossing the 205 bridge going to Vancouver.

Every car except for three, I owned would wonder all over the road crossing that bridge.
Suburban, 2.0 Honda civic, Passat
I had to fight to keep them in the lane.
But the problem only happened there.

Well smack, a fat bitch on her ass and tell her your in love.
I crossed that bridge doing 70 in the wind gust of 40 to 50 mph.
Didn't have a problem staying in the lane.
Changed lanes two and nothing. Smooth as ice.
I am now totally know my alignment does not need to be done.
Scratch that off the list.
Hahaha, There is still need to put the Bump steers spacers (need bolts, coming)
I started my run last night trying to warm her up quickly. I left my jacket in the house.
Wasn't planning on breaking down.
Car is running almost perfect.
There is a little studder some times, not all the times.
There is no vacum leak.
Changing the oil this today.
I have 30 weight in it still.
Anyway, it didn't take long.

So, I was coming from Oak grove to I-205.
Went up over Theissien, and come out at exit 12.
Jumped on 205 and rode in the right line tell Johnson Creek.

As I was starting to pick up speed, I so someone coming up behind me quick.
I was like, I am not speeding and I wasn't.
Yep I called it a cop pulls up in the middle lane. Matches speed with me.
I thinking WTH, is he doing.
Then he nails it, I was like holy shit.
Takes off doing plus 100 and I didn't even flinch.
Didn't know where he was going ,so I just brought it up to highway speed.
I changed lanes twice to see how it was handling and it felt great.
As I was coming up over Division, I see the cop in the unmarked car.
He got some kid, in a white Honda Civic on the side and out of his car.
If you have to get out of your car at night with a cop.
Your more than likely not going to be getting back in the car your driving!
Sucks for him!

Anyway I wanted to wait a little longer to, for the area heading to the airport,
I-84 to the airport.
The turns is a pretty smooth one and you can pick up some good speed dropping into that bottom corner bank.
Just before you start heading up hill toward the 205 bridge. So because what I am doing is trying to test my car for control issues and feel the changes I have made.

Passed the I-84 on ramp from I-205.
I started picking up speed.
Was Seeing if she wanted to drift in the lane. Nope.
Steering feels great still, but may be a little to sensitive to the road.
Okay now I am in 5th coming down into the corner going about 70 mph and it is holding that turn really well.
Just about to where you would jump off to go to ParkRose!
When I down shifted into 4th and stumped it to the floor!

WO-WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
I back off and look down at my phone which is on the dash in HUD mode.
Going past the airport exit and went into the far right lane.
I could feel the wind hit the car like being shoved by a buddy a little.

Before I got over the water, I stumped on it again.
This time I started changing lanes again, to the far left lane.
Now to didn't get that funny feeling like before where the car didn't feel planted on the whole road.
I wasn't struggling to stay in one lane.

When the kids are in the car with me I barely do the speed limit, crossing this section of the road.
No kids, it's just me and a buddy following about 10 cars back. He is filming.
All this video is going to my archives.
You would be surprised how you driving style can change when you can see what you car is doing, as you drive.
You want to know how you tires track on the road, get someone to follow you down the road a bit.
You can see how your car shifts it's weight on the road.
On your phone you can get an app that tells you more info.
Since I am more of a one man road driving team, I use my phone to tell me stuff that replaces having a pit crew.

So back to it.
Now I am going uphill towards the mill plain exit.
I am happy with the response of the car and them feel.
I pull over and tell her.
She knows I am very picky about driving feel.
She has been in the car, and have felt the issues I have had.
She knows!
She is not a road driver.
She just drives!
Me it is totally different!
When I am driving, I feel it is me the car and the road.
I have been known to get up early and drive to Mt. Hood and back before anyone is up in the house.
It is my metal skin!

She is happy, I am happy!
She says okay, you had your fun now do what you was planning to do and get home before the fools are starting to head out to the clubs.

So, I did just that!
No more getting nervous going across that bridge.
Wooot, WOOT!

Okay guys later!

Oil change day!

I think the pictures say it all.
But there is a 1/8th inch gap between the rim and tire.
I have 7 1/2" width rims.
Now it is time to lower the car more.
Does it feel different?

Yes it does.
Springs feel more responsive!

I see that the lower control arm has more of a down angle as before it was level with the bottom of crossmember.
Which means the range of motion is closer to what it should be.
