I'm not sure about the earlier Roadsters, but '66 and up had 14" rims, super wide too at 4" for '67 and earlier and 4.5" for the later years. Mine are 14x4.5.

Maybe I was just remembering it wrong. Carry on.

After some cutting, grinding, cleaning and painting I'm a little closer to being ready for the swap. Now I just need my split collar clamps and RCAs to arrive.

just wondering since I've never seen the info posted. How do you determine how much of the tube to cut off ? I have an idea but just want to make sure my thoughts are correct.

I didn't cut the tubes, just cut the perches off and will be using perches off of another set of 510 struts I had. I wasn't sure about cutting the perches myself but it was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. I nicked one of the tubes just a little but that was it.

New struts & brakes should go on this weekend and I think I scored at the wrecking yard today. There was an '86 BMW 325 E with very nice front seats. I recall reading somewhere that they will bolt right in with new holes drilled into the brackets. They're blue, but I'll figure out something to do about that.

There was a pretty nice black set not too long ago but I didn't have time to get them that day and they were gone the next day. This car just dropped today, so it didn't even show up in inventory yet. I was the lucky guy this time.

I really want E30 Vert seats. They have horizontal stitching instead of vertical, and bigger bolsters.

Finally - ZX struts installed, lowered about 1.5" up front to go along with the 2" drop blocks in the rear. I still have some air in my lines, but the brakes feel pretty good - so much better than what I took off. Next up is an alignment.

WOW ... THAT THING IS SEXY

Nice work on lowering it! Big improvement, it really looks sweet. I love those Roadster wheels and 620 caps - who would have thought that of combo??? :)
