Re: 521 owner here
Looks like the wrong kit, and all the parts are not there.

Re: 521 owner here
They gave me the washers and nuts but gave me 6 long studs and 4 short studs...
That won't help me put my head back on... Haha.
I got this kit a day after I ordered two kits.. Still haven't got the other kit nor a tracking number for either... I ordered these from summit for nearly 240$.

Re: 521 owner here
I know it should have been 4 long ones and 6 short ones, I bought mine on ebay.
I would say cut them and re-thread them, but that metal is hard, so just wait for the correct kits.

Re: 521 owner here
I talked to summit and they are going to send me a new order. For some reason not tell next Wednesday.
Whatever I'll have the other set I ordered Monday so I guess I'm waiting tell then.
Still no block...
The block was done cleaning and out yesterday and ready to be bored... Then maybe another cleaning is in order so maybe 3 more days...

Re: 521 owner here
Take it off??
I took the head off because I needed to change the head gasket and studs.
I'm glad I did too. I think Ron must have parked the 620 with this l20b in it a while ago '20' years or so and it had a gasket problem some really nasty looking compressed dirt was in the bottom of most stud bolt holes. I chaced the threads more then once but stopped when it was to hard to turn, but after sceewing the studs in I noticed they all didn't sink in the same when scrwing down hand tight. Some bolts threads weren't showing and some were.. So I did some more cleaning of the threads and got every stud to sit like every other stud bolt.
Idk if you guys follow my words or not. Words kick my ass.

I was under the impression you already pulled the whole motor while waiting for the Z.

Hhaha no no.. Waiting for 5 speed to do that.. Fuck and the block!!
I don't know what he's doing but it seems 3 weeks is a lot to have my block. Even if 4 peoples stuff were in front of me.
