Correct pulley size?

I recall Ed's 521 alt pulley being too big?
Wouldn't charge at idle, but would when revved.

Is yours too small?

Its charging fine. It was charging in the 13v range at all rpms... Just the light would come on any time above 800 rpm...

Isn't 13.0 too low?

If I see anything near 13.6V I'm selling an alternator.
But I also have cars with multiple very expensive computers.

Make sure all your wires are good, and I hope you have a internally regulated alt, otherwise it's a nightmare, I gave up on externally regulated alts, I could not get the light to go out the last couple years, even though it was charging fine, but when it did quit, it was a surprise, as I mentioned, the light had been on a couple years.

I didnt say 13.0, I said in the 13s Like 13.5 or 13.7...

Its externally regulated, and in that case I take anything from 13.5 to 14.8 or so. I find the external regulators do as they wish, even with adjustments (mechanical type), and you just have to get one that works right.

It was 13.5 at like 1k with lights, anything above the battery voltage is technically charging.

Electric chokes are weird. Or rather, Manual chokes are sooooo simple and 100% user controlled!

I prefer manual ones too. But a properly setup weber with electric choke.. You should be able to tap the gas once or twice, turn the key and it works as it should. Something is out of whack, yo!
